No pelters from me, we need Dara playing at CB, Greaves is a good bench option or OK to play in a back 3 but as a starting CB in the Premier League not for me, has always been too prone to lapses in concentration even in the league below |  |

He’s one of the players who’s showing how big the gap is between Championship and PL. He’s put in a few fantastic last minute tackle and blocks, but that’s not enough. Defence worries me the most; we need more quality there. The midfield 2 haven’t been great either.

It's been more than a bit worrying seeing how easy it is to get through and behind us. Ok, a decision earlier went against us but since then, it has been hand over eyes viewing.

Not sure I’m that comfortable with a back 4 with Dara right back and greaves the partner of Diop for the season. |  |

I’m really not comfortable with that idea. Been saying it since pre season. I’ve never seen why Greaves was worth the money we paid. The defence looks a bit of a mess to be honest. | | | |

And that’s why he’s a good Championship CB but will get found out at this level even though he still does some good stuff. Some of his recoveries today were superb and goal saving. You can see why we thought he could step up. Unfortunately he hasn’t found that quality and consistency in the rest of his game yet (hopefully that’s a yet and not a never). | |

He’s doesn’t have the pace at the level, he needs someone fast next to him and that’s not Diop either.

He's still relatively young for a CB so it's an area I expect him.to improve in and he needs to.

Agree entirely. Both look permanently nervous and skittish. Both take far too many touches on the ball.
In reality how we defend is really important in a survival battle. We look pretty sharp going forward now but a Nunez needing to be more defensively minded and Greaves and O'Shea is very concerning. | |

Yeah but I’ve seen him get sat on his arse and give away Pens/Red cards against bang average championship attackers as well. I’m not sure he’s good enough for a season to be a nailed on starter, I hope I’m wrong. Think it’s kind of similar to Sunderland have with a couple of theirs, might get away with 15-20 appearances but not 38 starts. | |
