Town Dismiss Bullard Bust-Up Claim
Town Dismiss Bullard Bust-Up Claim
Wednesday, 7th Dec 2011 12:11

Town have dismissed yesterday’s reports of a bust-up between manager Paul Jewell and midfielder Jimmy Bullard as "complete rubbish". The pair were reported to have fallen out over the latter’s apparent refusal to relocate from his current home in Cobham, Surrey.

A club spokesman said: “Rumours of a bust-up between manager Paul Jewell and Jimmy Bullard are complete rubbish.”

We understand the 33-year-old splits his time between his main home in Cobham, a flat in town and family in Essex, staying at his Ipswich base around games and employing a driver for when he is travelling to and from Surrey.

Good to hear. We are a different side when Jimmy is on form

Do we know if he is commuting from Surrey?

Bust up or no bust up, the commute is unacceptable and shows a lack of a comittment to the club and to the cause.

That's good, as the last thing we want is a return to the bust-ups that plagued the Roy Keane regime.

As for Jimmy, he needs to show us on the pitch that he is worth the big money we are undoubtably paying him. We can't blame Paul Jewell for signing him as he did so well in his loan spell, and nearly all fans wanted him. His failure to live up to the performances in his loan spell is a huge disappointment.

Was he commuting from Surrey when playing at Hull?

I think Bullard will come good for us in his 40's.

bust-up or not his performances have still been lazy and he looks off the pace getting caught in posession too often. Could be the catalyst for a revival but needs a marked improvement

Jewell seems to spend more time talking to the media than his players, yet it is a club spokesman that is dismissing the bust up claims...hmmmm

Read the eadt site and the commuting issue will become clearer. Stays in Ipswich overnight before a game and commutes from a family home in Essex at other times. There explained for you but that'll still not stop a lot of the moaners and whingers.

I'm presuming that PJ can't comment because of his "family issue". He hasn't been "videoing the BMW" again, has he?

One can only assume that PJ has taken exception to Jimmy's habit of training in Cumberbund, panama hat and white gentleman's gloves. I can't imagine his love of quaffing vintage wines and consuming vast amounts of seafood sits well with the fat Scouser either

As many of us suspected it was all a load of Bull...ard then.

some of you really are clueless...... PJ is our manager, he is therfore interviewed by the press post match and at pre match conferences. Phil keeps much of that interview and posts bits each day so it looks like PJ is always in the Press.... that is why as today is not a post or pre match day it has been delivered from inside Portman Road and not form the horses mouth so to speak, i assume when he has his pre match interview he willl be asked the question and will give his repsonse! so all those getting hot around the collar yesterday, not everything that you read in the press is true, ok?!!!!!

Blimey bluelady you are so pro PJ I am starting to wonder if you are a relative and yes I do expect an acidic response but as in RKs days we usually find out there is no smoke without fire and the club do have to issue a denial they are hardly likely to come out and say its true

Sounds like some of the players are getting fed up with him....... But then could be more paper talk...... Who knows??? Certainly dont seem the same player we had on loan last season.

newboy i am pro getting facts correct NOT PJ in fact if you had been on the forum after Burnley i even posted Jewell out! I am not happy and think if things dont change he does have to go, BUT i like to give a reasonable view and not go on a witch hunt as many on hear tend to do.

Does anyone seriously believe anything written in the Daily Mail?? Oh, dear, just thought that perhaps people do! Please, if you do.... don't!

Bluelady - thank heavens you always give a balanced view. If nothing came out of the Club at all there would be whingers saying we are never informed of anything. The Club, Clegg and Jewell can't win at the moment and that will only change when the team start winning.
