Peters Back With Town
Peters Back With Town
Thursday, 8th Dec 2011 10:24

Midfielder or full-back Jaime Peters is back at Portman Road after his loan at Bournemouth wasn’t extended into a third month prior to the recent deadline.

The Canadian, who has another 18 months left on his Town contract, made 10 appearances during his two months with the League One side.

The 24-year-old's only game for the Blues this season was the Carling Cup defeat to Northampton in August.

Forward central midfield role. Saw him play part of one match there and thought he was great.

RB sorted

better than Edwards, at least

I would give him a game. Quite frankly what have we got to lose at the moment. At least he has a bit of pace about him.

The end of the day could he do any Worse. I don't think so.

These comments are a joke. Not wanted at a league one side, yet he should go straight into our team? Clueless.

^^Totally agree SouperJim, he always gives 100% but he just isn't good enough

Surely if anyone should be given a go at right back its Wabara

SouperJim you beat me to it. He was woeful against Northampton and that will stick in PJ's mind. Can't see him here beyond the summer.

We're on a level par with league one at the moment.

Not good enough for Bournmouth yet Muppets still want him in our first team. Sometimes I despair.

SouperJim, you are the clueless one my friend!!
So a certain Grant Holt that came came from a league two side was a rubbish invesment from Norwich???
Just because they didn't extend peters loan does not mean he is rubbish!!
Peters has in his game Passion, desire, pace and a attacking attitude, More than the current shambles has put together!

what peters lacks in ability he makes up for in all the things listed by Legend...... Passion, desire, pace and a attacking attitude.......

If anyone on here is to be believed thats about the same list of attributes the current team seem to be lacking....... we all know JB has more talent in one of his legs than most players in this league, it just depends if he can be bothered to use it...... with the current issues id rather see a player with 50% ability giving it 100%, than a player with 100% ability giving it 50%!!!

100 times better than the hapless Edwards so has to go in at right back..

Legend, Grant Holt wasn't unwanted at Bournemouth. Engage brain please.

Anybody thinking Peters has "passion, desire, pace and an attacking attitude" clearly can't have seen his last couple of appearances in a town shirt. In the cup game he was a joke, almost refused to support JET on the right in any way and looked like a rabbit in headlights, totally bereft of confidence. Putting him into the first team until he comes good is no kind of answer, he needs to move on and find a new club.

He doesn't get a game for ages then when he does he's rusty and people say "OMG USELESS".

He was a decent player when he played often under Keane.

Peters is one of our best players. He's got pace and passion by the bucket load. His only real concern is his height and he lacks technical ability at times but he's certainly far better than half the muppets we've got there at the minute. Player him in midfield not at RB and you'll see a marked improvement. Jewell has been asking for youth and pace...well it's sitting in front of him in Peters. Nuff said.

Hilarious. Two of you negative ‘supporters' (above) have recently stated that PJ should be scouring the lower leagues in order to find players, yet the moment one of our player's steps down a league to get games and keep fit - that player becomes a write off.
Idiots.

Welcome back Jaime!

Peters is a player who seems to divide opinion among fans but he does have guts, passion and pace in his play, something we're sorely lacking at the moment.

Not saying he should go into the starting XI for Saturday, but wouldn't mind seeing him on the bench as a potential impact sub.
COYBs!

Well whatever he is now he was promising not that long ago. I agree he should be given a chance in midfield if anywhere. People forget but the reason he came to Ipswich and not Chelsea was thanks to a petition signed by 2,000 Town supporters so obviously some of us have short memories...

Souper jim
we are a league one side,
right back has been our achilles heel all season, nothing done to resolve it.
Obviously edwards seeing out his extended contract on a good wack so probaly cant afford anyone else. ( Unless they are old and on a freebee) an Pj may go for him.
To young to play for a pj team anyway.

Who has ever said on here that PJ scours the lower leagues for players that are unwanted by their teams, we are looking to pick the cream from the lower leagues, not the bench warmers and journeymen...

Clueless is indeed the word

Although ive seen JP play some good games (eg Reading away) i dont think he's good enough. It would apear then that he'll go out on loan again as he didnt cut it at AFCB
