| Town Announce Norwich TicketingTuesday, 27th Jan 2015 17:00
Town have been given an allocation of 2,000 tickets for the derby at Norwich on Sunday 1st March (KO 2.05pm). The seats, fewer than the Blues have generally been handed for games at Carrow Road in recent years, will be initially be allocated via an “invitational priority period” for club members who have followed the Blues away from home on a regular basis this season. “This is a priority system which has worked successfully over previous seasons and is seen as a loyalty reward for those members that regularly attend away fixtures,” Town’s director of retail operations Lee Hyde told to the club website. “Letters will be sent to all qualifying members with full details on how and when they can purchase their ticket for this fixture.” After that tickets will be made available via the usual priority system, one per individual customer number (from 9am on each date): Gold membership holders: Wednesday 11th FebruarySeason ticket holders: Friday 13th February
Silver membership holders: Tuesday 17th February
General sale: Thursday 19th February
Norwich have set the prices for the game, which will be live on Sky, at £40 for adults, £30 for senior citizens (65+), £25 for under-17s and £17 for under-12s. Full details on the club site.

How many away games do people think supporters would have needed to of been to to receive the letter?

Wow, that seems expensive. £40 for adults, and £30 for OAPs. I'd be interested to see how this compares for other games....
...Although I guess this will be the only big game at Carrow Road this season!

3-4 tops I would say. 5/6 wouldn't even be 1000

Me and my brother have been to 7 away games this season but sometimes he gets them sometimes I do....so because of this looks like we won't get the coveted letter :-(

The thieving budgies. Crap attendance when pic was taken.

And what about people who have been to sufficient away games but had their tickets bought for them on someone else's customer number..?! Stupid idea. Just use the normal ticket sale prioritising. Why people feel the need to c*ck about with a perfectly good system just for the sake of it...
Oh, and £40 is certainly the most I can ever remember paying for a football match. Absolute bloody outrage...

Cheers Phil... although something like this is a much better Carrow Road picture, showing someone sitting down in an Ipswich shirt as the story is about seats available... | | | |

Why have we not been given 2600 tickets ! as that is 10% of their ground capacity ??, surely we could complain to the league over this .

£40?! It's not like it's a premium view where Norwich put the away fans. I know Ipswich charged sky high prices for the derby too, and it's always a shame to see supporters ripped off. | | | |

Ah, they're just scared of our away following. Mind you, some are pretty alarming to look at.

£40, what of my money? in the coffers of that lot. I don't think so. Armchair it is, £40 to charity.

Re £40 a head, the Brentford fans were chanting '£35, you're having a laugh' at Carrow Road on Saturday. McNasty & Co taking the p***.

I inadvertently ended up in the Carrow Road dump on Saturday, was luckily about two seats from the Brentford fans which made me feel like I was in the away end. The "Football in a library" chant was also highly appropriate, complete silence where I was sat.
The chorus of "We're going up with the Ipswich" from the Brentford lot was also enjoyable as the poor budgies streamed out before full-time!
