Town Announce Wembley Ticketing - Update
Friday, 15th May 2015 12:23

Town have announced the ticketing details for the play-off final should they overcome Norwich City in Saturday’s semi-final second leg at Carrow Road and make it to Wembley.

The Blues would be given 38,888 seats on the east side of the stadium with tickets going on sale from 6pm on Saturday 16th May with the usual priority system in place. Full details on the club site.

Town or the Canaries will face the winners of the Middlesbrough-Brentford tie - which stands at 2-1 to Boro following the Griffin Park leg - in the final.

The club have issued a clarification regarding priority tickets.

Meanwhile, Town and Canaries fans tentatively planning to travel to the final by train look set to have find an alternative with a strike planned from 5pm on Monday 25th May.

Signallers, maintenance staff and station workers are all set to walk out for 24 hours due to a pay dispute.

Well, we would be back at the right end of the ground for us anyway.

My old fella is in his 80's so I buy all his tickets online for him. If it's only me who has a customer number does that mean I can only buy one ticket. It says one ticket per customer number but 8 tickets per transaction.

So can I buy 1 or 8 ? Sorry to be thick.

I think you find its 1 ticket per customer number but you can buy upto 8 from your friends and family list as long as they a are in the priority system.

I think it's pretty mean as I think it should be 1 per season ticket plus 1. 39k will fill that easy and will be plenty for other fans.

I'm in a pickle as me and my youngest daughter are season ticket holders this season and my eldest has a season ticket for next season aswell as me and my other daughter. I have her on my list so wondering if they will except next season ticket holders aswell as I want all of us together. Mind you we need to beat norwich first. Which won't be awsome but I have a gut feeling we will be seeing a chambo fist pump Saturday at Carrott road

Really disappointed that there is no +1 for Platinum/gold card members. Same for season ticket holders as that would really help keeping families together. Hey ho, still to beat Norwich first!!

Tickets can only be bought at the customer number price band — upgrades cannot be offered on any ticket purchased. What does this mean? If you are a season ticket holder in SBR lower you are only allowed to buy the cheap seats??

I believe it means you can't buy an adult seat on a customer number for a concession.

All in all, the details are as clear as mud.

The lack of +1 for people with priority is daft. A lot of fans will want to sit with friends and family for such a big game, yet would have to gamble on general sale to get several tickets together.

When we beat Norwich on Saturday the forum is going to go into meltdown with all the ticketing threads.

I do think season ticket holders should be given the option to buy between at least 2-4 each. I don't have a season ticket or go to every home game and they have probably gone every game for last 11 years and more. I don't think it's on that they are not rewarded for their loyalty.

Just to confirm STH and members have a ticket to buy guarenteed?

Totally confusing. My other half has now got a customer number but he has no season ticket. So if I want to get mine Sunday (being a holder), he has to wait until Monday, and we cannot sit together?

I have before managed to get him a ticket next to me before he needed a number (when we were not selling out games!). He could not get a ticket last Saturday due to the system crashing and ended up missing out.

And for people who have friends with season tickets and want to buy in bulk - there are no guarantees that you can get seating together, until Monday when general sale.

So unless you go alone, it isn't being made easy. The ITFC office need to make things a lot clearer.

Sorry have I been asleep for the past 48 hours?
Pointless worrying and debating about something that may not happen.

Holy cow, I felt my whole body go a bit weird seeing this story. Like a bloody carrot tied to a string two days long.

This is silly so my hubby and son will get a ticket with their season ticket but if I want to go I have to sit on my own Mmmmm nice thanks for thinking of families of the season ticket members .

Lets be honest, yes a bit premature but....did any of us really think that on the 14th May we'd see an article entitled ' wembley ticketing' . Might not make it but a blooody joy to read.

.......... all well and good - but shall we just overcome the obstacle of getting there first ?? ............... before we get carried away, although it seems it may have already happened in some quarters.

Whether we get there or not is irrelevant. The principle of the powers that be at ITFC thinking this system is fair is an utter discrace. The lads on the pitch are making me love town at he moment, the people that run it are making me hate it.

So we all sit alone or wait until general sale , this will really help the chaos . How come they have changed it from the home leg where ST could at least get 1+1 Tkts , this would still leave 10000+ for general sale . Just a question as well if even on general sale you need a customer no , have we got 39000 people with customer nos , needs to be sorted in case we happen to get through .

I have no problem with season ticket holders getting one additional ticket as long as Silver Club members can buy at the same priority stage.
Because I live 100-odd miles away, I have done an even number of home and away games, spending around £600, more than a lot of season tickets.
When it came to the playoff first leg, I had to move blocks and sit way back from where I normally do to accommodate season ticket holder's friends - ie. people who don't normally go.
The principle was fine, the priority system was wrong.
I'm delighted they've changed it for a potential Wembley trip.
As for whether season-ticket holders should get 2-4 additional tickets, absolutely not. That would potentially mean some club members would miss out.
I have no problem with additional/general/casual fans (call em on what you want) getting tickets - Portman Road was brilliant last week - but they should wait for general sale, even if that means sitting apart. I know there are loyal fans whose circumstances have changed and can't attend as regularly but I still think that's a fair solution.
It's all hypothetical anyway. But I know this. Lose tomorrow and a lot of those 'additional supporters' won't increase their attendance next season.

Am an ST holder but sit on my own and take my Son or Brother whenever possible but always under my ITFC number.

Now i am faced (when we win the semi) with going to Wembley on my tod, trying to sort family & friends with someone else... or gambling on general sale.

Also what is to stop someone who has you on their family and friends from buying your ticket allocation?
I don't think the clud website is up to it.
2 tickets per ST would have fine and much simpler.

That's absolutely rubbish. Should be season ticket holder or member plus one so families can sit together. And why can't I upgrade a junior to an adult? The fact is that the website is not nimble enough to handle that sort of issue but we are all forced down the web route. Ok for some but challenging for others. Have we got so many members and season ticket holders that we cannot accommodate plus 1? Where is the loyalty bonus for being a STH or member
