QPR Linked With Judge
Tuesday, 11th Jun 2019 17:01

QPR are reported to be eyeing a move for Blues midfielder Alan Judge.

According to the Daily Mirror, Hoops manager Mark Warburton is keen on a reunion with Judge who previously played for him at Brentford.

The 30-year-old, who broke his wrist when in action for the Republic of Ireland on Friday, only signed a new two-year contract with the Blues in April, so it would be a big surprise if Town were willing to allow him to move on should there prove to be something in the report.

In addition, QPR would appear unlikely to be in a position to tempt the Blues following the £42 million settlement of their FFP breach in January.

Not going to happen. Brand new contract, just left London with his family to move to Suffolk.

We'd hold all the aces in them negotiations.

Not going to happen.

Hahahahahahaha!!...don't they know he signed a contract with us back in May? and why the hell would he go to that nondescript London club?

While I think this is just press speculation stranger things have happened when a player has signed a contract only to move re a clause about bids from a club in a higher division, for me he is the man who we must hold onto and build the side around if we are going to go up, Norwood is a great addition and Judge playing in the hole(as did Eric gates what a man in that position!!) behind him and a aerial ball winner hold up man with him will serve us well.

What utter rubbish! He's only recently signed a contract with us! Where do they get this drivvel?!

Sadly, in modern football it doesn't really matter if a player signed a contract recently. It just gives the selling club the upper hand in negotiations if the player wants to move- which sometimes they do if a situation changes.

But it seems very unlikely in this case as Judge has spoken highly of the club and seems relatively settled. Very much sounds like ‘manager assumed to be interested and thus linked with a player he has managed previously' story.

Judge is under contract so unless he makes noises that he wants to leave, it isn't going to happen. Town need to stick a daft price on his head, or simply just say NO!

Alan Judge comes across as a genuine guy and I would hope and think that he is happy with his lot at Portman Road. Paul Lambert virtually lets him play in what position he wants and no doubt he is on decent wages with us.

I'd love to know how a story like this comes about? If you can call it a story. I wonder weather it is Chinese whispers: QPR wish they'd been able to sign him in January becomes QPR eyeing Tractorboy. Highly unlikely and I get the impression Judge simply liked the look of Ipswich as did his family, and fancies seeing out his career in a nice part of the world. As with Norwood, it's easy to forget what this club offers despite Chexit.

If QPR come in with a big offer mr Evans won't be able to resist it putting most of it in his pocket leaving us with nothing seen it all before it stinks we've paid for are our season tickets now we hear this just hope this doesn't unsettle the player bearing in mind what QPR can offer the player in wages mind you I'm normally wrong.

Never say never! But this is not likely unless QPR are offering terms which might be too good to refuse. Is this likely? Probably not! Move on!
