I'm about to face ridicule and becoming an outcast in the TWTD community but.......
Putting cheese on anything ruins the food. Have hated the stuff since childhood and have only recently begun eating mozzarella (which is more hardened cream than cheese).
So no, never ruin a good onion with that!
