Would have been 96/97 when I was doing my postgrad. I was a fairly prolific poster using not especially inspired user names related to where I lived at the time LancasterBlue, HanwellBlue, BasingstokeBlue (not to be confused with BasingradBlue) and then FleetBlue. Until about 2003 when I moved back to Ipswich for a couple of years, had a kid and stopped spending every waking moment on here.
My earliest memory would be the thread about Capybaras (including the Commando Capybara jpg - which I used as my desktop wallpaper for a bit - used to make me chuckle!!). I had started work then so that would have been 98.
I actually followed the 99 Play-off semi-final at home to Bolton through TWTD because I was working away in Europe at the time and couldn't get back to Ipswich (so no radio either). I can still remember the 'MAGIC!!!!" post when Magilton made it 3-3. I'm not sure I've made a similar noise quite the same ever in my whole life. | | | |
