I see The Maximum Leader on 22:29 - Aug 13 by Darth_Koont | Whoa! The PLP itself tried to push Corbyn out. It's not my "refusal to try and build a coalition bigger than you and the people who agree with everything you think" that's the problem. Labour is eating itself because it wants to be a middle of the road, centrist party. When that's not what the country particularly wants or needs. We need a party that will halt a slide to the right or at the very least provide some genuine balance, opposition and an actual alternative. |
the labour party needs to be what it has always previously been - a centre-left party that attracts broad support and can offer effective opposition when it's not in power. it is currently none of those things. it's become an irrelevance - you should join.
| And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show |

I see The Maximum Leader on 21:08 - Aug 13 by Bluesquid | Remember 9/11 and 7/7? The current UK goverment has some interesting friends. Not only are our allies Saudi and UAE bombing school buses in Yemen but they are also recruiting Al-Qaida fighters there. All the while the UK goverment approves arms sales, support and assistance. |
Lowhouse, it would be great if you could explain why you downvoted?

This is leader of the Labour party in 1972 after the Munich Massacre. This is the Labour leader of 2018 laying a wreath at the grave of the murderers.

Another view would be that she was tanking in the polls so sent some working class oiks to win her some votes......and secure exploration rights!

Have you ever heard of Keir Hardie? It is currently what you say in your post. Unfortunately, the right has just become so distorted that people can shout HARD LEFT at Labour’s hugely increased membership as if it’s some kind of Stalin takeover. It’s laughable really.

You'll have to explain the left part of that to me again. I didn't see it. I did see a lot of centre-right pandering to free market enterprise as well as interventionism overseas. Obviously trying to appease the right-wing media and snaffle some marginal voters ... and almost as if you decided to play at being New Conservatives. Where were the structural policies to save industries, build infrastructure and jobs and regenerate towns and regions? Where were the initiatives and/or money to re-invigorate our health and education? Quite frankly where was the social democracy?

I don’t typically like to share articles from sources that are clearly on one side of an argument, but what are your thoughts on the points made in this: https://skwawkbox.org/2018/08/13/mail-fake-news-exposed-again-corbyn-wasnt-there Seems to legitimately question the whole slur if you ask me.

oh come, on you do talk nonsense. under labour '97 to 2010 spending on health care more than doubled. spending on education increased by 78% in real terms. that's quite a big lump of social democracy in action. doubtless you were in costa complaining about free enterprise at the time.

Mossad agents didn't kill any of the Munich terrorists in Paris, did they? The Mail have somehow taken it as read ignoring the already significant doubt that Mossad are telling the truth.
