Poll: Is Lambert the right man for the job?

Rather dramatic. One mistake from what otherwise was a very good performance who I believe is low on confidence.

If we were going on “mistakes” alone that are going to relegate us, the back four and both goalkeepers would have to take a long look at themselves.

But the biggest mistake was the Paul Hurst era and the transfer dealings from start to finish.

Poll: Would love to know the opinions on here now of Lambert genuinely?

So you are going to revise your "Long Live King Hurst" post from August then?

"Very good" is massively overstating it. And it wasnt his first mistake of that sort- he got lucky with a similarly awful and potentially fatal one, 5 minutes earlier.

I would say that Nolan was generally better than he usually is and that pass to Harrison was probably the best of the two or three penetrative passes that he has actually played this season.
He has still got more assists for opposition goals than he has for ours though.

We are half way through the season. Lambert is having to play players bought by Hurst!!

Lets see what he can do in the transfer window.

At the end of the day we are not relegated yet. Until it is mathematically impossible for us to escape then surely we have to have hope.

Otherwise what is the point of going each week and keep coming on here and moaning!!

God what an overblown silly statement. What has relegated us is the continual penny pinching from Turd Evans. Look at the key architect of the 1st two goals. N Wells. On loan to QPR for a sizable loan fee and wage. We got in K Jackson at the same time. From the money we made on Garner and Waghorn. Until we can get a proper committed owner instead of the Private Walker Spiv we currently have the club are only going in one direction.

What do you mean by "comitted". How much money should a reasonable owner being pouring down the toilet each season in order to keep you happy?

Do you think Hurst went for Wells and had to accept Jackson as second choice?

The issue with Evans is backing the wrong managers. He got one right but has made 3 bad mistakes and the jury is still out on Lambert. Here is hoping it will be 40% success rate rather than 20% when all is said and done with Lambert.

Evans has invested. He has given his managers time and resisted calls to change before they have had a chance. Many other clubs would be very grateful to have an owner like Evans.

and yet others said it was when we threw away a 2 goal lead against Brum and still others said it when we signed all the players we did in the summer.

Ultimately someone is right but, if we do get relegated, all these will have played their part.

Ultimately, the hiring of Paul Hurst is the only reason this town side go down. Nothing more nothing less

He had a competitive squad to add too, he did the unneeded and ripped it apart.

So I blame all you bstrds for asking for a young 'hungry' manager. Well done twtd

One that keeps us competitive to at least the top half of this division. Do you not think that Evan's lack of commitment to this is the main reason we are a club on the slide? MM managed to arrest this slide against the odds while serving up very functional football. Wee little PH took off all the brakes and poured a whole load of lubricant on the Express route to League One. If we had a manager who could get us competing in the top half then the extra money Turd Evan's put into the club would not be wasted. MM could have done that with an extra 5-10 million.

I repeat the question. Do you have an answer?

How much per season do you say a comitted owner must "gift" the club.

Once we know what you say the owner should be doing we can assess whether Evans is being reasonable, and what the alternatives might be.

A lot of people say that Evans should ignore FFP, am I right in thinking they have now started handing out fines for this

So a money lacking owner, doesn't want to take the risk in ending up with a Multi Million Pound fine, yet that's wrong of him?

Like I've said before, He brought the club when money wasn't as important as it is now, unfortunately he's a Skoda driver in an Rolls Royce Club.

I put a figure in there but it needs a competent manager. If you choose to ignore it that is your prerogative.

Certainly what wasn't reasonable was selling your top striker for 3.5 million and getting in Leon Best. What wasn't reasonable was investing next to nothing in Jan 2015. Or selling Waghorn Garner and Webster and getting in Nsiala Jackson and Harrison to replace them. Now of course he can say he was just following the guidance of Wee Little Paul but still.

No- you said he should have thrown an extra 5-10 million at it, at a particular point in time.

How much per year should he be spending in total to keep the club how you want it to be kept?
