But I have it on very good authority to ME is in discussions with 2 interested parties concerning potential take over. 1 has been a fairly long term discussion and the other relatively new in comparison.
I guess with it being no secret that he'd sell if the deal was right that it's expected that he'll be having such discussions.

That's not quite true is it? We have been for sale for quite a while and so far no-one has really shown any interest as of yet.
The thing that should be more important here is If he is in talks with anyone who is buying it. Evans could offload with a duty of care for the club or just get shot of it. Let's hope it's the former.
BTW our turnover isn't exactly huge. Talks shouldn't need to last too long. |  |

But if you get better players who play better football and you are towards the top of the league attendances will rise as will turnover.
See Derby for an example of that where they are averaging about 10,000 more per game which is circa £300k per home game more than us and £7M over a season. |

I don’t think he’s prepared to drop his asking price ( not sure what that is tbh) but he always said when / if Club was sold the debt will be written off.

The other thing is , would any new owner be able ( allowed ) to put more money in than Evans already is currently doing? I think he said in an interview that he is limited to what he can put into the Club by the FFP rules , ( we seem to be one of the few that adhere to it!) |

A family member who has no connection to Town but who is employed within football at a Prem club told me at a family event that he'd heard we were having talks across the summer with a possible new owner. He wouldn't say anything beyond that except to say that it was from the far east rather than the middle east.
He also suggested that this goes on all the time. He has worked with some people at Town in the past. |  |

I have a contact who was on the ITFC board some years ago and knows ME well.
ME is a big Chelsea fan (as is Milne) and when he wanted to buy a club he looked at Brighton, Southampton, Leeds and us.
He could only afford us.
Had an approach for the club in appx 2014 from a consortium which he turned down.
Will try and find out more info but contact now rather elusive. |  |
