I am not surprised to see Judge being played up front at all, I did say recently that I think he (and nolan) have covered upfront in their career. The big focus today is on Doz, I hope he gives the type of performance that will give Lambert nightmares trying to select his midfield players. This is his chance, I hope the Edwards on the left is up to the challenge

That looks awful on paper. 352, AD as a CM and two sitters or more attacking than that? I actually wonder if it'll be Skuse as a DM and the other two roaming thanks to who's on the flanks.

Judge as a striker makes absolutely no sense. Surely they've laid this out wrong and it's 3-4-2-1?

Well this will be interesting. A Lambert masterstroke and has worked on something in training with this sort of lineup or him getting over confident and thinking whatever team/line up he puts out we get a result.

I really hope it's not the latter as it would be a shame to lose momentum by naming a rather strange line up/formation.

Yeah gotta be 3-4-2-1

Looks mad on paper but it may just work, captain

I reckon Garbutt may come on for Edwards at half-time

regardless of the result, I wouldn't be shocked if this formation is being played with full intention to switch it at about half time, ending on a 442 wouldn't surprise me at all, hopefully with a good lead.

Could always be a 4-2-3-1 I guess?

Holy
Chambers - Woolfenden - Wilson - Vincent-Young
Skuse - Downes
Dozzell - Judge - Edwards
Jackson

Is Rowe still injured?

I am not sure faffing about with the line-up is a wise move. Judge up front may give us a little energy up top but I can't see that midfield working at all. It's like he drew the starting 11 out of a bag.

Don't like Jackson as a lone striker, needs a proper strike partner. I'm assuming we're being careful with Norwood and Keane.

I survived Ipswich 0-0 Burton

My thoughts exactly.

No reason why it can't work but still looks a bit odd. The bench looks handy and we can change things about if needed.

TBF I didn't know Huws and Garbutt had picked up knocks but Watson implies all 4 changes were due to injuries.... and presume as people say that Judge will be more alongside Dozzell in the 10 role. Still looks a big risk though to change things up so much.

Giving Judge a forward role might at least solve the issue of him roaming around. As long as he does a McGoldrick-type job when he gets on the ball and brings in the rest of the team.

Gills play 3412 according to Brenner, therefore Lambert is matching up again according to that.

The good thing is, if we lose, draw, or barely win, there will be pleanty of fuel for the unhappy clappers later.
