What sort of fee would we expect to fetch for him this month? 500k?

It was just under a million in the summer and he's having a very good season so I'd hope the fee won't have dropped.

I’d think it would be more than that. Been one of the best keepers in the championship this season apparently.

1.2m I’ll go but I’d hope for a bit more than that if we could get a bidding war going.

If the deal to Millwall in the summer was for 900K and he has played well there, then really that should the lowest acceptable fee.

That teamed with interest from Cardiff should drive the price up.

I imagine a £1 million move to cardiff plus a generic loan player to sweeten us away from selling to Millwall.

Yes that's true, I'd forgotten the figure in the summer!

Hopefully losing Bart a couple of bits of dead wood from the current squad enables us to do what we need in this window without having to sell Downes or Wolfenden.

Just seen Millwall are 7th. Mental.

They have had keeper issues for years, like us and right back. I imagine they will be wanting to keep that team the same. Bring on the bidding war.

I will predict 1 million exactly.

Would presume around the same fee as what was agreed in the summer. I wonder if Millwall are worried about his knee when other bigger and better clubs who have more money than them come sniffing?

What we should expect and what ITFC will agree are usually two different things.

I would want at least £2m at least. ME will agree 100k and count the wages saved.

Makes me all the more sadder that Hurst and Doigy came along and ruined him for us.

One of the best in the last 4 out of 5 seasons, then. Hursty has a lot to answer for there...

£800k-£1m would be enough I would imagine.

I am sure the greater desire is get him off the wage roll.

Well is wages for the year would be around £1.5m P/A to be fair.

I believe his preference is to stay at Millwall.

We should be pushing for more than 900k. 1.5m is a fair price.

£20k a week multiplied by 52 weeks is just over £1m.

Correct. Now add on the subsequent costs that come with a £1m salary.

Yeah, fair comment. I imagine NI alone is a fair whack on that kind of salary. Techncially he's not costing us anything at the minute I imagine, I'd expect Millwall are covering his wages fully.

True. I am sure they are.
It would depend on how it is structured and how the player has established his liabilities. I would imagine the reality is [Ignoring the Milwall side of things] that he is costing the club around £1.2m, but it could easily be as much as £1.5m on a £1.04m salary.

He's not on 20k a week, quite a bit less.
