Royston was a giant of his day, but not being worse than Paul Jewell or Hurst is hardly his fault. Anyone who says otherwise is a cretin frankly. He occupies the relegation spot on merit but he's not the basement boy. |  |

My personal theory is that he's been working to the Famous Roy theory of team selection which states that 'you only make a sane selection when forced to'.
FR's most obvious example was finally playing Delaney at CB because he was forced to by injuries, PRP's is stopping rotating his squad when told to by the bloke who pays his wages. | |

It's clearly true. He stopped faffing about with the team and formation and we've started looking halfway decent because the players actually have a chance to form some understandings. I just wish he was competent enough to realise it mid-November. | |
