They've got a big majority and the full weight of 90% of the press behind them, alongside the opposition being in the midst of a leadership contest. They can basically do what they like and not be held to account. I feel for the poor bastards who genuinely believed Boris was on their side.

Wokingham in Berkshire, gets a 30% rise despite it being one of Englands most affluent boroughs, while Hampshire and Surry will be the biggest winners with £35 million and £25 million extra respectively. One Nation Conservatives at their best.

Yeah I'm confused, I thought the Tory party didn't like handouts... or is it okay if they're already rich? Can't keep up

As I understand it, you have to motivate rich people by making them richer and poor people by threatening to make them poorer.

The Tory party is laser focussed on retaining (enough of) those seats next time around. Either following a consultation Boris will step in to ‘save’ the funding for them, or central government will pump in money to compensate in a way that they can then claim greater credit for.

Plus nobody will notice when we win the ‘North of England’ World Cup.

In the same way that The Mail kept telling us that we've had " no control over immigration" in the last 10 years but if Labour ever get in we'll have even less control?

If, and IF it happens that would be a bad move.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

We have friends in Wokingham. They have to have a sticker in their car to get into their local recycling centre. This is to keep the plebs from Reading out.

As Factual said......Yawn!

You've just been hammered with socialism as your ideology and a dodgy leader. Put the bricks down. You'll get an rsi

Funnily enough I have a friend from just outside Reading annoyed that she has to use the Reading recycling centre because the more convienient Wokingham one id out of bounds to her.

And I thought unitary authorities were supposed to be a benefit.

Not everyone who abhors the current Tory party is a Corbynite Socialist.

I don't get why you can't understand that despite so many people pointing it out.

There were actually relatively few fully signed up Corbyn supporters on here.
