Here's a little something that amuses me about fascism.
The term originated in Italy through the idea of strength through unity. The idea being that a single twig is weak but that a bundle of them is strong.
The Italian term for such a bundle is fascina, hence fascist and fascism.

I think the 'everyday' person is happy with the concept there are only 2 genders (I get the difference being made between sex and gender but Joe on the street isn't going to make that distinction). I don't personally get all the stuff about 'identifying' as something different - almost comes across as a recent 'fad' if you ask me.

I get the labels and equality thing is often said with a heart in the right place, but my thoughts is many groups haven't had that level of equality in living memory, therefore celebrating their culture is important to them and what they've thought for (the right, you know, celebrate their culture).
