If a Muslim had stabbed someone in London it would be treated as terror related. In fact it was just a week or two ago when thankfully nobody was killed. A stabbing in a mosque by a non-Muslim not being treated as terrorism smacks of double standards.

You're getting this one all wrong gerry.
It's the exact mentality of these people. They believe they're 'fighting back' each time they attack an innocent in the street, each time they spray paint a mosque or a synagogue.
They think they're fighting back when they drive their car towards normal people on the pavements.
It's the exact same metality each time an Islamic nutjob blows himself up along with a load of innocent others.
In their minds they are also 'fighting back'.
Like for like solves nothing and only more innocent people get hurt. You'll notice these types never target each other. It's only ever soft targets and they all think they're fighting back, whereas in truth it's disgustingly cowardly and it should be condemned by every decent thinking person regardless of race, colour, beliefs.
By thinking the way they do we allow them to do the work they set out to do.

Yes, of course they can. I do, however, think it's unlikely that a Muslim would stab another Muslim in a mosque during prayer, apparently entirely unprovoked. If you have information that the assailant was a Muslim them I'm happy to stand corrected.
