We need to stop blaming the manager! 18:25 - Feb 22 with 5792 viewskizaitfc

There is a deeper issue here, we have had the same issue for the past 5-6 years. Poor defensively and poor in the opposition final third.

I dont actually ee what Lambert could have done more today, he has said previously we needed another striker and that Chambers shouldnt be playing every week. Similar to McCathry I think he is shying away of calling Evans out.

There is a deep rooted issue at this club and I dont think we can continually blame the manager

There is more than an element of Emperors New Clothes about our squad.

We keep being told how good it is but it really isn’t!

If it was truly bad, we'd be a lot further down the table. We're as high as we are despite our manager, not because of him. Frankly, right now, I'm not sure that Roy Keane couldn't do a worse job than Lambert.

He has had 3 transfer windows and has one of the most bloated squads ever seen in Division 3.

So would you hav rather PL played Sears and Jackson?

No but surely Sears should have come on sooner, especially when it was obvious that the 4-4-2 was actually making us worse instead of better? Bring him on for Nolan and switch to a 4-3-3?

Judge was playing as a number 10, and pretty poorly I might add.

The issue is he has limited resources this is down to poor funding and an awful squad he inherited

He signed 7 of the starting XI, and is lucky to have Downes, Woolfie, Jackson and Chambers to go with them

We aren’t in the Championship any more, look at who we are failing against - he doesn’t know how to set a team up to win games of football, or to adjust in game when it’s not going right - a busted flush.

Evans is far from perfect, or blameless - but you can’t keep giving time if it is to the wrong manager as you are just wasting time that way

Sorry meant our only substitute who was a striker, not the only striker at the club.

I think you are totally wrong, PL has simply been inept as a manager, he might say the right say the right things but his record at this football club is appalling..

Lambert didn’t help himself today with the 90th minute substitution, what the hell was that all about, but I think we are at the point where it really doesn’t matter who our manager is.

Evans is the problem and has been for his entire time here.

Noone forced him to leave judge on the field and bishop on the bench.

Lambert called Evans out the first week of the season, hence the chanting of "Evans you're a c%&t" at Burton.

You laid into Mick regularly. If only you'd learned 5 or 6 years ago eh?

His constantly appointing sh1t managers is definitely a key factor here. I'm starting to think that Mick was a fluke on his part.

I don't get this about TWTD. So many people get so invested in their internet arguments and 'their' man that they simply WON'T see when they're busted flushes. I suspect Lambert could take a sh1t on the OP's doorstep and he'd thank him for the gift of some fertiliser for the garden.

Ah the old thrower striker on to score a goal trick forgot football was that easy! Silly me.

We were pumping the ball long how would Sears have helped.

If anything throwing Wilson on up top may have made more sense

Not really, given that the size of the squad enabled several months of Lambingo, in which PRP nearly equalled Roy Keane's all-time winless run record.

I wondered if we should bring Norris on and move Holy up top, the number of long balls we were trying in the second half.

I'm not saying throw on a striker and we'd score but we clearly needed another outlet, something different for them to think about. No, due to injury we may not have it, but it doesn't mean we can't try. 4-4-2 with Bishop on the left was ruddy horrific and clearly not working within ten minutes of the change.

when you take off a winger and put a player who can’t play wide and then wait until the 89th minute for the next sub

He is awful and clueless ! He won’t go as it would cost to much but anyone who is still behind is probably still in love with MM

Look at his tactics and Plan B ! Oh there’s no plan B

We won’t get in the playoffs under lambert

Don't you have to have a plan A, before you can formulate a plan B?

agree, although it could do better if it was coached to play as a team instead of as a bunch of disjointed individuals.

The squad is good enough, please explain who in that squad is good enough??? But somehow Lambert is at fault???!!!

It's pretty obvious the players are not good enough and the project Lambert has taken on is going to take a hell of a lot longer than most would like.

Most of them are capable of playing in a team above about 16-18th in L1 (which is our form of the last few months). Many have played in the Championship.

I think that is about right.

PR Paul is a well deserved nickname.

Great player, poor manager.

Imagine next year if we somehow managed to get promoted in the play offs.

Others like Norwich improved in League 1, we are no better and won’t have KVY, Wolfie, Downes or Garbutt here next season.

His calling off games and ridiculous rotation have led to this position.

We should be flying now with a large fresh squad, but we are sliding out of contention.

They are his players playing his way. It is on him.

Evans picks the managers and Mick aside he has proved woeful at that.
