They got away with it last season, we sang and supported all season long, even after we went down, we bought out season tickets in numbers to give the club the chance to succeed.... their part of the deal was the results this season

Got to be those who look at the results and the players in a post McCarthy world and still think, “This is fine”. I have sympathy. I didn’t feel Keane needed to be sacked until about 3 weeks before he went.
Difference is though, McCarthy was actively undermined by Evans’s lack of investment before getting dragged into mediocrity. His predecessors and successors have served it up unrelentingly through their own efforts and approaches, even before Evans has got involved. |  | | |
