I'm probably alone in this, but watching his interview last night I felt sorry for the guy.

I'm sure he's not trying to fail at his job, and his career is in tatters at the moment.

I think it's probably best that he leaves, but it's never nice to see a person struggling.

I have no ill will towards the guy but he really needs to go.

Yes - he is doing his best and wants to succeed. He also clearly respects the club and fans.

Professional football is a cruel game. It’s a results business. He knows that.

I just hope our fans behave with the same dignity that Lambert has.

Those are my overall thoughts as well. He's just massively out of his depth.

The longer he clings on though, the less I'll feel sorry for him and them more I'll feel resentment.

I felt angry towards Hurst, I don't to Lambert.

He has to go though as he has proved beyond doubt that this job is beyond him.

I cant quite believe he us still here given result on the pitch in his time here.

It's a new, much worse, version of Keane Vs. Jewell.

Both bad, but one of them is an arsehole as well.

Not really. The fans put money into the club while Lambert takes it out.

The fans put very little into the club. Maybe £300/400 each max.

Evans puts six million a year.

I have very similar feeling towards him that I had with Jewell. One of those guys you’d probably enjoy having a pint with and a fairly decent human being HOWEVER being a decent human being doesn’t make you a successful football manager and he has to go just like Jewell had to.

I really want him to succeed . In many ways he’s been so good for our Club. But his tactical abilities appear woeful and as Mick Mills often alludes too, Lambert appeases almost soft in his management of the squad ie trying to please every all the time. The players frankly should hold their heads in shame . There’s zero commitment or sustained effort in games . They throw the towel in as soon as opponents score a goal . Where’s the bloody pride ffs !!

Last night we played better after falling behind than we did beforehand so I'm not sure that's true.

For me we only actually looked a threat when Sears and the youngster came on. The kids physicality did cause them problems but of course he’s raw . Fleetwood has to double or treble their marking if him.

Our team is devoid of leaders throughout the side. Chambers and Skuse’s time as players is now at an end . There is no spine in the side , and youngsters will need support next season. Watching last night the team had a serious lack of confidence and appeared totally rudderless . We had in the main zero goal threat . Just my view though of course.

One thing I will always give him, is that he cares. He actually looks like he cares about our club and has highlighted the problems with our owner a few times.

However, he isn't a very good manager

To be fair, the only good manager we’ve had was MM and the fans drove him out.

I cannot dislike him and I don't think I ever will and I do feel for him.

I agree entirely with the OP.

They said that the fans turned on Mickma because of his rudeness to the snowflake fans.
Lambert has been nothing but polite and courteous and done everything the melts on the TWTD news site asked for and yet they still turned.
No person should be subjected to verbal abuse that managers and footballers have to even though they are well paid.

As you say his career is all but over, which makes it even more likely he will stick it out until he gets the sack and a substantial payoff.

This has to go down as the most illogical post of the season. Evans owns his companies outright. Those companies put £6m a year into ITFC. The group of companies is essentially an extension of Evans personal worth. The more money they have the more he has and vice versa.
By the way, there is not a bank anywhere that would lend anyone £6m a year to throw at a football club. They're not that stupid
