I asked Mick McGiven about him some years later and he said he lacked mobility, hence he was dispensed with after a few games. |
Well as happens with these sort of things I've just spent half an hour going through the teams for the 92/93 season and found that he was in the team for an away win at Spurs 0-2 on 27th Jan 93 and then the following match at home against Man Utd on the 30th which we won 2-1. They were top and we were 4th at the time. That would seem a pretty good couple of results with him in the team
He then doesn't appear again 2nd March 93 and a 1-0 home defeat to Middlesborough.
Other then being named as sub on the odd occasion that seems to be it.

Bart-Williams was so good in his pomp, it's a shame he was here a few years too late. Sheff Wed/ Nott'm Forest Bart-Williams was class. He's a good obscure shout for us, we've had a few of those midfield players that we've had well beyond their peak - Bowyer, Campo, Legwinski, Reo-Coker etc. [Post edited 17 May 2020 17:18]

Harding did alright and could play. We got a decent deal for Westlake really. Bowyer did ok too I thought. |

I'd take Harding over Kenlock every day of the week. He was a competent second tier left back, bit lightweight at times but a decent player. |  |

Some good shouts in there but agree that Harding and Bowyer can hardly be considered obscure
Mentioned in another thread recently but from my time watching Sean Friars comes to mind, or for fully obscure Devann Yao
More recently I always forget Patrick Kisnorbo played for us, same with Frazer Richardson and Dominic Samuel. To be honest you could probably do a fairly good one just from the Mick era (Fred will be getting a semi as we speak) | |

Yet Harbey played over 200 times and with 4 decent sides. He seems to have been a victim of collective-memory scapegoating - especially when some of the players on this thread barely got into double figures with any club. | |
