LambertOut teeing us all up for another season of crapness.... 11:53 - Jun 26 with 3514 viewsITFC_Forever

As soon as there's any criticism, he can blame it on C-19 as there's no money to sign players, got to develop your own etc.

Honestly, that guy is made of teflon. Doesn't matter that the squad is being dreadfully managed - a half-decent manager would have got a tune out of that squad.

We're going to start the new season with zero optimism in the manager and our expectations continually being moved downwards by PRP and LO'N.

It'd be still more interesting than your Lambert hysterias and insults.

And it's not like he was the only one being cynical about Lambert from very early days. I know myself, Blootsy, Herbers and Sitters were as well. Fishers was just the loudest and weirdest about it.

He's basically turned into Texters circa 2017.

For all those who parrot that we are crap and it’s all the fault of the owner or current manager and that we have some God given righter to a place at the high table of football just take a look at the teams in bottom half of the Championship, none of which are guaranteed to stay up.
Derby, QPR, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham, Wigan, Stoke, Charlton, Huddersfield, Middlesbrough, Hull.
Keep a little perspective guys.
We are not unique.

That's true, two and a bit years ago we were as good as most and better than some of those.

I'm not sure who's weirder, Bluefish with his God complex or you trawling archives for a statement pointing out the obvious during a relegation season in an attempt of one-upmanship.

Pretty sure given his relationship with the Budgies and his dubious managerial allegiances, everyone raised their eyebrows and doubted the appointment - most however, were prepared to give hime time and objectively criticise.

1) It isn’t difficult to find, I don’t start many threads and threads you’ve started can be found easily from your profile

2) The post in this thread was firmly tongue in cheek, get a grip

I do remember-simply enjoying winning football matches again through August and September. Avoiding a relegation hangover was the first express thing I felt appreciative about towards Lambert, because all the stuff that people were raving about in 18-19 felt rather nebulous to me in my armchair. But fair play to him in those early months, we’d made a good start and for that I was grateful, while taking a wait and see attitude on the rest of the season. I just wanted to see us get back up again at the first attempt. When we won at Fleetwood, I thought “Wow! It’s been a while since we won a game against a side we were competing with for a particular prize.” given that they were in the top 6 at the time. I let my guard down a bit and started to believe...

And then Accrington happened...followed by Rotherham....and Holy being dropped...and December’s results....and rotation, so much rotation...and the 5 year contract dropped in the middle of a slump...and our response to going top again in January was to take 4 points from the next 27...

...well, my guard is well and truly up now. And it may never come down again, even if we come launching out of the traps next season, because with Lambert you’re always waiting for the other shoe to drop. I have no confidence in his ability either to learn from this season, or not repeat his incoherent decision making at the first sign of a setback next year.
