Just taken the dog down the river for quick run and splash. Tons of f*cking litter left strewn everywhere by some dirty c*nts who've been having a barbecue down by a bone-dry cornfield and them left their debris everywhere.

However, they'd thoughtfully left behind all the carrier bags they'd brought all their crap down their wish so I was able to pick it up and remove it before it did some damage to the local dogs and wildlife.

There are far too many people who just could not give two hoots. I am beginning to think that a Chinese style surveillance state might be a good thing. Keep an eye on the fwvkers and come down on them hard when they transgress.

Just been to walton on the naze and the foreign Pikeys are back. I don't use that term lightly as I dont class these as travellers. Some of whom are hard workers.

Parked their expensive vans all over the park again. Dozens of kids and this time it appears they are selling puppies. Had kids as young as two litterally dragging puppies across the sand and into the sea. In the blazing sun yesterday, one puppy was locked in a rabbit cage.

Group of matriarchs just let them do it. Honestly thought one of the little pups was drowing. One of the mums took a a nappy off her kid and just dumped it in the middle of the walkway for everyone to walk around.

Kids are knicking other kids buckets and spades and the mums pretend its their stuff.

Police have been on site but it appears they have decided to stay all week. Happened last year also when the swings in the kids park disappeared and everything had to be shut to sanitise the area due to the crap left behind.

Just don't understand why we tolerate it. If I park just ten yards away I will get a parking fine. Never thought I hated anyone before but this bunch are just cruel and intolerable.

Very sad and infuriating.

The Police seem to be toothless these days.
Too scared to offend them.

Are they are scared of being cancelled by driving out a field of bad eggs.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

"Are they scared of being cancelled"

What does that even mean??

The police being ineffective in dealing with travellers isn't a new thing. If you think it has got worse lately then may I suggest you take it up with the party that's been in government for the last 10 years?

true story

A couple of years back I lived in a town with a large castle estate and river. "Travellers' arrived in car park/field near the river and started setting up camp.

The head of estate and a senior policeman wandered over with the former advising the visitors while they were welcome to stay but if there was a 'accident' with the sluice gates that field would be under 2 feet of water within 20 minutes.

The head traveller said the policemen he was being threatened to which the policemen replied "no that was a friendly warning as you are parked on a site liable to flooding"

20 minutes later the visitors started leaving

you've nailed it beautifully with that great anecdote.

The head traveller said the policemen he was being threatened to which the policemen replied "no that was a friendly warning as you are parked on a site liable to flooding"

Sadly I fear not all police officers would be quite so pragmatic.
Travellers and others have got used to complaining and having their fears (mostly utter garbage) heard. Good for them.

Fair enough, the amount of people who have viewed that post though and kept quiet has made me angry and a little upset to be honest. Seems as though travellers are still fair game in a lot of peoples eyes, like I say it's no different to using the N word. There would of been outrage on here if that word would of been used, and rightly so. Those same people who would of jumped straight on it (again rightly so) are remaining very silent now though.

You're not wrong, no rational, kind, compassionate, reasonable person would ever use the N word in a derogatory manner, unfortunately as you say the Traveler community seems fair game and that slur is thrown around in such a casual way and not just by bigots.

I reckon there's a lot of people like me who just don't know how to address the point. I am in complete agreement about tarnishing, but then so was the poster. The issue seems to be the word itself, rather than the sentiment aimed at this particular group of people he is talking about.

I could come from an innocent angle on this and still be jumped on so if we're gonna go there, bear with me:

I read the post as deliberately using that term in an effort to separate who the poster considers to be regular traveller folk and the types who give the community a bad name.

If the same terminology is used to describe all travellers then people get tarnished.

I'm quite happy to use the most appropriate terminology but honestly wouldn't know where to start.

"Some particular travellers who happened to be scumbags"? Maybe, but that still seems to have implications.

There used to be several terms used to differentiate between Romani and Irish travellers and the frauds who would go from place to place committing crimes to make a living.

As some of those terms have become more and more derogatory understandably many people don't want to generalise, so what to say, how to differentiate?

Yes I understand the N reference so that doesn't need to be stressed upon. I'm asking how, when describing a bunch of horrible people whose main aim in life seems to be stealing from others and ruining lives, are to be described to separate them properly from travellers who don't deserve to be lumped into the same category.

Maybe the term Pikey was out of place however I'm not sure why you wish to keep linking the 'n' word to expand your argument.
I'm just as outraged that some on this site are more offended by my poor terminology than the fact that a group of people choose to be cruel to animals and also be deliberately offensive to a community they have encroached upon.

I would have be just as offended if twenty locals chose to act the way this bunch did. I'm sure some of the travelling community must also be annoyed that groups such as these do nothing to help the image.

Well that particular bunch of c*nts weren't doing anyone any favours, that's for sure.
