Let’s be honest 13:35 - Sep 3 with 2918 views | SitfcB | It would be a proper weird time to sack him and I for one hope it doesn’t happen now. However, a fast and good start required Mr Lambert.... [Post edited 3 Sep 2020 13:35]

Let’s be honest on 13:39 - Sep 3 with 2531 views | MonkeyAlan | He won't be sacked until he has totally b@llsed up the start of the season.
Let’s be honest on 13:40 - Sep 3 with 2529 views | DanTheMan | I really don't see the point in delaying the inevitable and wasting yet another season with this nonsense. He should have gone as soon as it was obvious we had not made the playoffs of course but I genuinely don't see the point in him being here any more.

Let’s be honest on 13:41 - Sep 3 with 2509 views | TheTrueBlue1878 | I do agree, not sure it is the best time now to sack a manager. Also agree, fast start needed, and hopefully some of these rumours will float into thin air.

Let’s be honest on 13:43 - Sep 3 with 2483 views | davblue | If what has been said is true, then he isn't clawing that back, no chance. You don't turn that around so why waste time and potentially waste however many games that might be needed later on in the season if we appoint a good manager.
Let’s be honest on 13:51 - Sep 3 with 2379 views | strikalite | This first game against BR would probably under normal circumstances be a bit of a free hit/warm up match.....if he wins the game with a few goals and a decent performance he'll get certainly ten games, a big game for him where it really shouldn't be..
Let’s be honest on 13:55 - Sep 3 with 2350 views | Metal_Hacker | Do we really expect a fast start though ? Considering the state it seems we're in and the results towards the end of last season , compelled with a very unconvincing pre-season...get rid now I say What have we to lose ? Not much more surely jeez

Let’s be honest on 13:57 - Sep 3 with 2342 views | ITFC_Forever | No.... get rid ASAP, we don't want to waste even more time. It's 6-8 months too late as it is.

Unlikely to sack him, unless the start is disastrous, as it will cost ME a packet to sack him.

It’s already been delayed so why act now. If he was going to go he’d have gone when the season was ended Shirley, when it should’ve been done. In fact should’ve been done before he signed that new bloody deal.

We can't spend it on improving the squad due to the cap, so we may as well spend it on improving the manager. Especially with a few quid for Downes incoming.

Let’s be honest on 14:26 - Sep 3 with 2227 views | Illinoisblue | We had a fast and good start last season... then the reality of Lambert being a mediocre manager kicked in. His time is up. Get rid.

will cost him more long term in league 1, resale value of the club.
Let’s be honest on 14:38 - Sep 3 with 2158 views | Fixed_It | True. Would be stupid timing. But as a Lambert apologist (apparently) I totally agree that a strong start is essential, and if it isn't forthcoming the decision needs to be made quickly.

Let’s be honest on 15:04 - Sep 3 with 2017 views | Dyland | I'm all for a good start to the season if he's still here Sitters, of course. However it's blindingly obvious he has failed and been given so much rope already, and I see no way back for him, except by lotto jackpot probability size spawn. The sooner he is gone the more chance we have of being promoted.

The slack Lambert is being cut is phenomenal. Then, this is the bloke who was given a fifteen odd minute vociferous ovation when we were finally relegated. The mind fooking boggles. "It's no' normal"... the adulation for such abject failure first off (whoever's fault it is) but then also the continued persistence with him. This club man. Evans is an utter fool for letting it get to this with Lambert. Yes yes yes, the damage had been done season before last. I gave the bloke a free hit the whole of that fooking season after Hurst. But it's just ridiculous now. He has demonstrated with his rubbish chopping and changing, lack of tactical nous, bizarre press comments about players vs systems (er so why are we so sh1t ffs) etc., that he is not fit to make us competitive. Sorry Paul, you're not good enough. The end. Get rid Evans. So blatant, so exhausting, so stupid.

Yep, that’s all we need. Change the manager and PL here we come Still, better to keep believing that rather than take a long hard look at the club and recognise how it is failing in so many areas

No one has said that. Of course Evans is culpable. That doesn't mean we should stick with Lambert. He doesn't know how to manage our squad. And it's largely his squad.

When your nickname is PR Paul and you've given up with the only part of the job he was good at - i.e. PR, then what has he got left?

The good PR all went south almost immediately our winning run ended.

Let’s be honest on 15:36 - Sep 3 with 1911 views | OsborneOneNil | Disagree. Now is the perfect time, he's had more than enough time to make it work and he's cocked it up. Bin him off now, and get Cook in, before a more forward thinking club does.

Managers make a huge difference to the success of a football club and are the one thing you can change that potentially has an impact on almost everything else about the club.

As i've said elsewhere. If your core strength was man management and you've lost that, you don't coach, not a tactical manager, there's isn't a lot going for you in Football management. And Stuart Taylor, all he does is moan at the ref for 85 minutes of the game. I've never heard anyone say anything good about him. [Post edited 3 Sep 2020 15:48]

Gill has a decent rep from what i gather as a coach. Maybe Taylor is a great coach but i've never heard someone come out and say that. You've got to get the right ppl in around you if you want to be a success, im not sure Lambert has since the start of his Villa days. Doesn't sound like he's helped himself here tbf.
