A person can't be sacked for something they haven't done yet, even if you think they might. Neither can you sack them for something done months ago for which you didn't sack them at the time.

I hope we don't experience the same fall from grace as last season. Suggestions on this forum that we were not playing well and would be found out were largely greeted with scorn.

Very rarely. And tends to be regarded as bizarre behaviour. Can only be rationalised if you have a stunningly better candidate lined up (which I doubt, in our present circumstances).

Evans would love that and I think it is what he's planning. Cheap option, keep the fans happy, drop into the 4th tier with the hope of young and exciting kids coming through and better football... keeping things cost effective for the owner while convincing the hardcore fans things are about to improve. |  |
