If you like a period drama then Bridgerton is pure class.

For comedy drama The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is marvelous.
For sci fi weirdness with batsh!t twists - The OA.
For more comedy drama - Derek.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Most the best have been mentioned already - our recent enjoyable watches (slow to the party with some):

The Spy - Sacha Baron Cohen playing a serious role as an Israeli spy in Syria. Based on a true story and very good - beautifully shot like the Queen's Gambit too. Lark filter I reckon.

Schitt's Creek - not usually into US sitcoms but this is pretty easy viewing - 20 min episodes and 13 per season (6 seasons) means you can easily go through it when stuck between other watches.

Back to Life - If you have seen Fleabag and liked that then this is similar theme but with a woman that's come out of prison for manslaughter/murder and everyone hates her.

Line of Duty/The Stranger/Bodyguard all good watches.

And some I think I've seen on Sky rather than Netflix so won't be helpful but still worth mentioning:

The Invisible Man - a way better film than I expected. Thought it would be a ghost movie but it wasn't.

The Gentleman - goes without saying, a must see.

Knives Out - Daniel Craig putting on a shabby American accent, just an enjoyable whodunnit movie.

Greed - has poor Rotten Tomatoes rating but watched this on sky the other night as it was their featured premiere and much better than expected - loads of familiar British actors and a poignant underlying message to the film about sweatshops and the wealth of fashion CEOs etc.

Ozark, not Ozarks.

Ozark is very watchable, whereas Ozarks is some cheaply made copy with poor dubbing.

And if you want a tenuous link to TWTD - the daughter of mine and Mrs O's neighbours is the "intimacy co-ordinator" for the steamy scenes in Bridgerton...

If she likes crime thrillers I would give Mindhunter go. It's a bit of a slow burner to start with but stick with it and you shouldn't be disappointed. There are a few series based on Harlan Coben books which aren't bad like, Safe, In to the Woods and The Stranger. If you haven't seen Line of Duty yet Then all five series are on there. Then there is obviously the likes of Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul & Ozark.

It is, I nearly have up on it after the 3rd episode, glad I stuck with it. Really hope there is going to be another series.

Try 'The Social Dilemma' - a 90 min documentary about how the Internet is affecting our minds. Fascinating and scarey.

Mrs. Maisel is actually on Prime but it's still a great recommendation and a good reason to get a free month trial of Prime if you can. You can then binge Mrs.M AND The Americans, another fabulous show.

On Netflix, I agree with a number of the suggestions so far, and would add Godless, Atypical and The Kominskey Method to the list.

I liked it but was really disappointed by a flat ending. Was expecting to find out whodunnit but it ended up being more of a character developing film.

Yeah, soz, I always get confused about what's on what platform.

Said it before but the last kingdom is very much worth a download. Though remember first series was made by the BBC for about 20p for the budget ones after Netflix threw as much money as they wanted!

Second White Gold - a huge favourite of mine and kinda gone under the radar for many. My description would be if the Inbetweeners was set in the late 70s / early 80s. This is what then happens to Jay and Simon when they move into the world of work...

And of course Cobra Kai!

The internet. Giving idiots a voice since 1982.

Very easily done these days...the only thing you can be kinda sure of is it's not likely to be on a terrestrial channel due to the paucity of good drama on those imo. Having said that I am enjoying the period feel of The Serpent at the minute, and I surprised myself by getting a nice, warm, feel good glow from the new version of All Creatures Great And Small on C5 which we binged last week.
