Phil, your ban? 15:33 - Jan 28 with 7275 views | Bluefish | Do you feel a change of management team would mean it is forgotten or so you think others would still impose the ban? Do you think the likes of Kieron could play a part to reconnect the fans to the club?

Phil, your ban? on 17:01 - Jan 28 by PhilTWTD | I don't think it would happen like that. I think ME will sound out potential candidates - and I assume that would include KD - before deciding who he wants to appoint and then sacking PL. |
Still got a few months until Season Tickets renewals, so ME still has time to sound out any replacement.

I think it will happen much sooner than that, it has to to stand a chance of being in the promotion shake-up.

Phil, your ban? on 16:46 - Jan 28 by PhilTWTD | I'm not sure it would be the route Marcus would first look at going down, but I think KD will certainly come into the discussions. |
If they don't look at KD what was the point in him coming back? He would galvanise the supporters, he's not just an ex player he really is one of us. TB would be the perfect foil for him to assist or maybe to be in charge with KD as assistant with a view to taking the top job a year or two down the road. Keep it in house this time Marcus you need to get it right. However it is all hypothetical as it looks like Lambo's here for the long run 4 years more? give me strength.
Phil, your ban? on 17:46 - Jan 28 with 1636 views | north_stand77 | I would have far more faith in Kieron getting us out of this mess than Lambert, I really hope they seriously consider him. Its disappointing Lamberts still here, he should have gone almost a year ago - surely this can't go on much longer!

I think Lambert will be canned after the Crewe game.

Personally, I've not thought that before, and tbf whilst most of the board wants him out, not many of us have been predicting an imminent sacking.

Phil, your ban? on 16:18 - Jan 28 by PhilTWTD | I agree the structure here certainly needs addressing, but I think it's a good job for him to take as his first. He'll have the fans behind him, we really ought to be in the top two or three in the division on paper and most of the young players at the club have grown up with him coaching them. |
Do you think ther is any realistic chance that PL will be leaving this club anytime soon Phil? I’ve just got this horrible feeling Evans won’t act.

From what I hear it's not going to last too much longer, assuming there's not a dramatic turnaround.

Are you able to expand on what the thinking is behind that Phil? If they are on the verge of sacking him but keep kicking the can down the road, I wonder what they have seen (that the rest of us haven't) that makes them think it's even possible for Lambert to turn it around.

I think that's a codeword for he's on his toes, that dramatic turnaround won't happen, as by all rights he had 3 games to save himself before Posh and we've lost two. That's my thoughts, anyway

That just makes me think - What's the point of giving him a third game? What if he wins that, then he loses the next two? Are we are back in the same situation? There's little point in waiting for him to lose three in a row to pull the trigger. Either you have faith in him that he's the man or you don't. And he clearly ain't the man.

Lee O'Neill is merely a puppet of Evans, a mouthpiece, nothing more. He has no say over how things are run at the club.

I think reading between the lines that something will happen this weekend, other managers have had games, some where they've won and been given their marching orders the following day. I wouldn't be surprised if he's in situ for Crewe with one of Cowleys/Cook/Dyer watching on. The only caveat I would give, is the fact that given he's still cleary unwell, why hasn't he pulled the trigger to let him go and recuperate? Ahhh so many conflicting thoughts!

I meant it more that they'll probably not make a change if we're winning rather than anyone having an expectation that things will turn around.

Phil, your ban? on 20:04 - Jan 28 with 1230 views | borge | Dyer and Butcher should be given it until the end of the season. If they show potential Evans can give it to them long term, but if they don't no-one loses face and no-one's status is diminished. What he shouldn't do is line up a replacement before Lambert goes. He should actually give himself time to think once the decks have been cleared and dare I say it, put his ear to the ground to see what fans are saying rather than listening to Barry Fry, Harry Redknapp et al.

Getting Titus as part of the coaching team, even if it were to be a defensive coach (laugh as you may - Titus spent his entire career as a PL CB, and yes there were errors, but if theres knowledge and advice to be had, grab it) *realise of course the other TB was a CB too

You know my views on this - without a more effective CEO who is active daily at the club, and the replacement of O'Neill with a savvy football/technical director, linking academy to first team, supporting recruitment, other football operational needs.... both roles driving a clear strategy and plan, that includes selection of the right manager to meet the strategy. I think any manager is going to struggle coming into the Marcus Evans, ONeill malaise. Club is in a mess. My heart tells me Dyer and Butcher would be great, and fans favourites. BUT do they have temperament needed to be successful running the first team?? You've spent time with them Phil are they not hot headed, bit emotive?

For him he wouldn’t turn it down, but I think For his career there would be better choices at this time. In the current structure I think we need more than a manager and for someone as inexperienced as Kieron it would be a big, big job. He would bring the fans back onside that’s obviously a big thing. It wouldn’t surprise me with trends around the world for appointing favoured son. Would take some massive balls on Evans’ part. Would like to see Dyer be a massive success here.

I don’t think his playing career should have anything to do with it. Crap players make good managers and great players make crap managers all the time.
