The more I think about the banning of Phil 16:49 - Feb 3 with 3927 viewsclive_baker

from the pressers at PR, the more p1ssed off it still makes me. If anyone from the club is reading this, and you and your colleagues thought this issue would subside, please be in absolutely no doubt that it wont.

I sure as hell wont be putting another penny into the club until its sorted. B0llocks to you.

Thanks for thinking of us, everyone in this thread, but we're doing OK at the minute. The period of the first lockdown was much trickier, in part due to a company not paying us and then going into administration, but latterly things have been more back to normal, despite all the club-related hassle. Probably better causes to be thinking of at present, although I'll let everyone know if things do start to get difficult again.

Agree with the point about their actions being aimed at having an impact on our business at what's a difficult time for everyone and when more widely doing business with small independent companies is being promoted.

So bonkers isn't it.

It's like closing down a petrol station because someone filled up there and subsequently got caught speeding. That's a sh1t analogy, but you know what I mean. None of it makes sense.

The way the club is run and people who have made and supported this decision are a disgrace to the badge.

And the kicker is that TWTD isn't banned but Phil is.

So if the problem's with a leak on the forum, why not ban TWTD? That would make sense by their logic. But no, they still allow TWTD but not Phil.

I appreciate whichever office drone that happens to be on shift can't do much more than a standard, generic email, but the responses to people who were contacting the club were awful.

First they just seemed to shrug it off but when that didn't work they went to ridiculous lengths to describe TWTD in such a way that meant Phil had some unique-in-world-football access to the club which was complete b0ll0cks.

The whole attitude of the club is rank which is affecting it on the pitch and off it. It's excuse excuse excuse from Lambert and Evans about the matches, then away from that they just stick their head in the sand and hope any and all problems go away. It's pathetic.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Maybe, but we've always, certainly the last 10 years or so, been able to make a decent enough living, never going to be rich, but decent enough, and I've always liked the 'free-to-air' principle of the early Internet,

Don't be silly Phil, I'm sure most of us wouldn't be averse to chuck even a fiver a month to help with everything, maybe do some competitions/quizzes etc?

Surely you have legal case regarding blackmail on the club then?

If they're hurting you & Gav financially but blackmailing you for private information which if you did such action would then result beneficially for you in a financial sense if you chose to give into the blackmail.

I'd get the lawyers involved honestly I would.

Like Lambert I can't wait until he leaves the club. Might be being harsh but he comes across just as clueless and unable to have any positive influence as Lambert himself.

The fact both of them were sat on the boardings on Saturday rather than giving out instructions shows you are right in feeling he is pretty much as effective as Lambert.

To be fair, no one from the off-field side of the club has said that, think they realise it was something I couldn't do. I doubt we'd get anywhere legally, to be honest.

But who ever has asked you for the information and then another member of the club has told you basically break the rules and you're back in, they are all club representatives and as such are involved in the blackmail

You have a very good legal challenge tbf. Your ban is based on a forum post made by a member of the site, it was immediately removed at the earliest opportunity. TWTD were in no way involved in the creation of the post and have now lost a revenue stream which will be returned to you IF you break data laws.

I for one would be happy to contribute to a cival case if you and Gav wish to take one on.

Cheers, but I don't think it would get anywhere. I don't think that constitutes blackmail and we've not lost a revenue stream. And the club have continued to provide us with audio from press conferences despite the ban.
