Care about what? If you're asking me if i think he should get a state funeral then no he shouldn't. Do i think what he did was absolutely fantastic then the answer is yes but so many people have done great things too and none of them have had a state funeral either. |

For over ten years Tory austerity has run the NHS down. One of the results of the xenophobic part of Brexit was that wards were closed due to staff shortages. Trainee nurses have had to pay for the privilege of working on the wards at great personal danger from covid. The buffoon in charge then leads the call to salute the 100 year old man who highlighted this by raising funds to help the NHS!
Sir Tom was certainly a great man who will come to symbolise our fight against covid and should be held in the highest esteem. Not, however, by this government and its cheerleaders who would, if they paused to reflect, realise how hypocritical they are being.
