Phil's ban 19:27 - Feb 3 with 4334 viewskizaitfc

Did any of the local media/press make a stand on this to the club.

I dont remember much coming from them if they did?

Poll: Mick in or out? (not a dig at Mick just want to see the overall opinion on here)

I'm fairly sure Phil said that Watson and A.N.Other were disappointed with the club/Lambert and were supportive.

I'm sure someone can add some substance to that though.

All other local media have been very supportive, have made their thoughts known, have given the situation plenty of mentions, some nationals and media more widely as well.

Is it just going to drag on, or have the club indicated a willingness to review the situation after a certain date?

Have the Club given any indication as to how the situation might be resolved? Presumably they wanted contact details for the leak, which would have caused you some DPA issues no doubt. But if the guilty party came forward, would that not sort this?

I doubt it, seems to have escalated into an issue centred around the forum full stop now, as per email responses people have received. I was asked for the details of the user that posted by the assistant manager but obviously I'm unable to provide them for the reasons you outline.

I was told they were keen to get it resolved before Christmas but nothing has happened since then and I've even been told since it might not change even if there's a change of manager, although I would anticipate most new managers would probably want to start on a positive note with everyone.

Seems to me it's just going to drag on. Possible they could escalate the issue further, of course, in which case I think that'll be me done with them.

Something for TWTD to raise some money for? Phil, you just pick the recipient.

Nothing would really surprise me about how amateurish ITFC has become, but really – how thick can you get:

“I was asked for the details of the user that posted by the assistant manager”; like you’re going to hand over that info!

And I’m assuming you don’t mean Stuart Tayor asked!?

That is ridiculous! I'm not going to point a finger at Lambert's management team on that one, they are what they are. The lack of an adequate infrastructure at ITFC beggars belief for a supposedly successful businessman. It's so unprofessional and tinpot.

Phil
Sorry for being thick - they have obviously picked a fight with you over this - do you think that they simply waited to enact the ban when they could dand not look (in their opinion at least) vindictive or unreasonable? Do you think banning you had been in the pipeline for sometime?

Apologies if you’ve been asked before.

Have you tried asking Gav to return all those ‘uppies’ he stole a couple of years back? Maybe that would help unblock things.

Good god, this club...

I guess there’s always the risk of this just being a TWTD sentiment, but I can’t see this continuing when the fans get back in the ground. There’ll be chants in the North Stand!

Er, it's ridiculous though :)

Evans is an embarrassment to ITFC. Sorry if this kind of thread just fuels things. The forum is what it is though.

It's not just TWTD.

Lambert would have been gone ages ago if fans were in grounds. His position wouldn't be tenable. The chants would be aimed at Evans as much as Lambert.

No, it came completely out of the blue - particularly as I was initially told the matter had been sorted on the Saturday night of the Lincoln game - although there are those at the club who have never been entirely happy that TWTD has had access.

But the issue with the team at Lincoln was definitely the trigger and there had been no hint relations were worsening immediately prior to that.

I think the initial issue was PL and ST wanted me banned and no one at the club, including the owner, felt they could stand in their way on that.

The furore which greeted the news being made public antagonised them a fair bit and I think that led to the issue being escalated, and obviously there has become a wider issue with relations with the media latterly.

Thanks for answering Phil.
Interesting that you mentioned that some at the club have never been happy with TWTD access. Sounds like you have some long standing detractors there.

Hope this ridiculous ban is lifted.

Lambert out.

I find the whole thing bizarre.

As you say, PL and ST wanted something, but it is outside their gift to decide. Why would the club bother pandering to them - especially when they are so clearly in the wrong.

It points to Evans actually *wanting* Lambert to stay at a time he should be doing everything in his power to make him get the hint and clear off.

It reflects very very poorly on O’Neil....whatever his warm words in the topic.

It seems to be the way, because their excuse for banning him is ridiculous.

We're just too edgy for them.

I blame Blubbers.

I think you're probably right on that, it's pandering to the manager, despite the obvious wrongness and bad-PR-ness of it.

I think Lee is rather caught in the middle, I think he'd like it sorted but the manager works to Marcus, so not down to him to make a decision on this.

If it might not change with a new manager, presuming the backroom staff brought in with Lambert also depart, are you suggesting, without naming names, that there would still be people at the club potentially unwilling to lift the ban?
