Cancel Vincent-Young’s contract and get him off the wage bill 09:25 - Feb 5 with 4475 viewspatrickswell

Where we’re going -a salary capped stint in the third tier - we don’t need sicknotes bleeding us dry for fck all return. I appreciate he’s a good player, but he’s no bloody good if he’s spending 18 months in the treatment room. He’s an accident waiting to happen and it’s time to be ruthless.

‘I also don't think he'd solve our problems - are we going to play him up front?’

No, we’d play him in defence, because our defence is terrible and he’s an England international centre back.

Good point, well made.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Most Ipswich fans would say he isn't a dirty player, as they like him. I bet you you ask Premier League fans, and the ratio would be very different.

I simply stated I wouldn't have him back. I don't like him. I also don't think he'd solve our problems - are we going to play him up front?

Ask the question of Michael Chopra, who when with us had a better scoring record than Kayden Jackson, ask if people would have him back and you'd be told no, even if - if we were to get him back - he would be an improvement on what we have. I feel the same with Mings. It's not that difficult to understand. League 1 Grant Holt would be a HUGE improvement on what we have, but I wouldn't want him in the side - don't like him. Most other Town fans wouldn't either, I'd imagine, but maybe I'm wrong about that.

If you don't personally like him, that's fine, that's your prerogative, although unless you know him personally I find that hard.

But to say he wouldn't solve our problems is absurd, do you not think he is a better player than Chambers, Wolfie, Nsiala?

I haven’t read the entire loan but I wonder whether this explains the Donacien loan - KVY was seemingly close to returning to action so we let Donacien go as right back would be covered by KVY, Chambers and, if really needed, Woolfenden. Then KVY picks up a further injury and we’re left short of a right back?

The Matheson loan happened before KVY's injury, I think?

In any case, any football club that plans on a player coming back after 14 months and being as good as they were is badly run.

I think it’s more that Lambert has never rated Donacien.

A bit like Josh Emmanuel - I wonder what happened to him? Oh yes, that’s right, he’s sitting at the top of League One.

Having already won promotion from it once before.

He should've been deregistered from the squad along with a few others (Skuse, Huws, Hawkins etc.) as they will seemingly play very little part for the remainder of this season. That would've freed up salary cap space to bring in new players on permanent deals, rather than youngsters on loan. Lee O'Neill's line of ''we had no other choice'' is utter nonsense as usual.

Sitting here after several glasses of red wine drinking a toast to all of you....

Well, anything’s worth a try.

Mutual termination, he then goes to another club and plays every game for 3 years.

The problem is not the players, it is our physio/sports science/medical departments - they are a go and shambles. Any decent club would have over hauled the lot years ago but we tick along with our fitness coach in Glasgow on zoom.

"Mings was a good signing for us financially, but would you have him back now? I wouldn't"

It's because he is one of our feathered inbred cousins from over the border.
