The Athletic reporting Ref has apologised on 13:45 - Feb 17 with 1730 views | BluedanW | The guy has been a professional referee for many years, so it is a very strange situation. All you can ask is there something in his personal life that has caused his reaction. I know it is not excusable, but the current world we live in effecting many people mental health. I hope for him that he is just suspended, I wouldn't want him to lose his job over this.

I agree. Although there doesn't seem enough in Judge's reaction to warrant flipping the way the ref did, if you think about the flak thrown at a ref during the course of a game, it's perhaps surprising they haven't cracked soon. Look at the houndings Man U used to be well known for, or Bolton in 2000. It's obviously a momentary incident and thankfully didn't go too far. As much as refs normally show credible restraint, they're only human too.

The Athletic reporting Ref has apologised on 15:04 - Feb 17 with 1297 views | bluelagos | I know it's the age of public outrage at every opportunity, but when all said and done, the bloke has apologised. He got it wrong, and he has accepted that. Surely that should be the end of the matter as far as we are concerned. Everyone has bad days and he didn't harm anyone. Far more important issues with our club than for any of us to be worrying this, a complete non story imho.

It's what spending 90 minutes at Portman Road does for you these days, the environment is more toxic than Pripyat.

Agreed. He should get a bit of a slap on the wrist by his bosses and then everyone should move on. It would be absurd if this was to impact his employment in any way.
