When did you want Lambert out? 20:39 - Feb 19 with 6047 views | MattinLondon | For me, I gave him the benefit of the doubt time after time and I fell for his PR (I’m not the only one). But I think I wanted him gone seven last season was curtailed. Was wondering when everyone else wanted him gone. Try not to brag that you saw through him quite early - we have Bluefish for that.
When did you want Lambert out? on 01:37 - Feb 20 with 467 views | The_Last_Baron | December 2019. It was clear to me then that he wasn't the man for the job. Astonished when around that time he was handed a five-year deal.

When did you want Lambert out? on 20:42 - Feb 19 by Dubtractor | I wanted him gone when we gave him the 5 years (not months!) contract. His time was clearly up at that point and we gave him that contract. Amazing. A year of almost entirely crap football later, and somehow he's still here. [Post edited 19 Feb 2021 21:16]

I can honestly say I never wanted him here in the first place
When did you want Lambert out? on 08:29 - Feb 20 with 391 views | Vic | When he banned Phil! That’s not just brown nosing, but 7ntil then I had been willing to give him a chance - there weee lots of possible excuses (especially so many injuries) for the sluggish form and we had shown we could get results at the start of the season. But Phil’s ban just revealed his mean vindictive nature against a genuinely good bloke. That did it for me, and it just unraveled completely since then.

When did you want Lambert out? on 08:33 - Feb 20 with 390 views | Mullet | Once it was clear we were going down without a fight as one of the worst ever teams. Having heard what he did/was like at Brizzle away I had concerns. That said the Leeds game and summer softened me a bit to think he should easily storm the league at least and people might stop pretending Mick was such a problem or Hurst was unlucky or somesuch nonsense. By the time he got his contract I wanted him long gone and was gutted. I thought Lincoln away was as low as we could go. Given this Tuesday and all that's happened in between that was a mere black eye.

When did you want Lambert out? on 08:35 - Feb 20 with 385 views | Herbivore | December 2019 for me. The wheels had come off and I wasn't seeing any sign of us getting better. Felt a new man coming in then when we were close to the top 2 and with a transfer window coming up would have given us a good chance of bouncing back at the first attempt.

Good to see you back Mullers, hope all is well. What happened at Brizzle? This has passed me by.

When did you want Lambert out? on 08:43 - Feb 20 with 369 views | Bluebell | When he did nothing to stop us dropping to League 1 although he had plenty for time to keep us up. I remember being at the Wycombe game when we heard about the 5 year contract. The fans there couldn’t believe it. We chatted to several people who all wondered why the hell Evans was prepared to give that long when most managers get 2. Lambert had done nothing to even deserve an extended contract.
When did you want Lambert out? on 08:48 - Feb 20 with 352 views | textbackup | I couldn't believe he'd been given the 5 years deal, I don't think I was full him out then, more of a "this league is so sht we'll probably go up regardless of the manager" then, ooooh then, Peterborough at home happened, and I lost it.

Thanks mate, better than it was. This is all "allegedly" and I've had cobbled together by different people. But the thrust of it was Lambert did the billy big bobbins talk. Some of the players were laughing or something in the changing room so he tore into them. There were designer hats and jewellry on show so he told them to take it off as they hadn't earned the right to wear it at games, they were letting everyone down and things like that. Apparently it was noticed then or soon after Lambert sporting a few things of high value and players took umbrage with it (one was a high end watch and trainers I believe). Regardless there became a dynamic of "Dortmund" vs "you lot are failures and need to buck up". Given all that's happened since, it seems broadly accurate if the details are a bit embellished or skewed.
