The way it read to me was that
1. He's just carrying on as though nothing's happening as a) a fallback position to protect himself in case the deal that's been rumoured does eventually go t1ts up b) as a negotiating/bargaining poker-face play, AND
2. To do due diligence - which is fair enough - imagine if he didn't and we were sold out to a bunch of cowboys - that'd hardly do either him/his reputation, or us any good. [Post edited 3 Mar 2021 21:02]
