There are plenty of insufferable ex-Londoners in Suffolk, I should know, I'm one of them!

As am I, although I've had strong family connections to Suffolk & North Essex all my life.

Nah, there is an account on twitter/facebook that does those made up (or are they...) quote memes in that format.

Most are pretty funny though.

I feel her pain, can go months here without seeing a kebab. My local shop ran outta large silver papers nearly a month ago and as made no attempt to replace them. Couple of weeks ago I went into village shop near where I was working for a coffee, yer women said 'just a minute, I'll put the kettle on' she then poured boiling water over 2 tablespoons of mellow birds an charged me 3 euros. Will someone feel my pain?

I'll send you a coffee, silver skin papers and cold donner meat care package if you pay the import tax. Probably only a few hundred euro now, plus my expenses of course.

Actually, having read this and thought about it a bit more, it's actually quite a positive article.

If this puts off just one lot of 'we moved to the countryside and couldn't get a latte at 4 in the morning' t0ssers, it will have been well worthwhile.

Tbf, I think she was just pointing out that the "dream" of living in the countryside also comes with it's challenges. The lack of buses and taxis is a real pain.

But as my sister said just before I settled in Suffolk - don't be one of those people who moves to the countryside and then moans it is not a city!
