I genuinely think this will be a moment that condemns our club to long term suffering, even more so than removing MM for Hurst. The more I've thought about it, the more I feel like Evans' fortunes have picked up more than he anticipated and getting in Cook made him optimistic he could turn it around.
Only days ago someone messaged me to say it was back on and only weeks away, but I wonder if they've got old news and mixed it up with a development. When I spoke to them more there were no details to refute that it's dead.
Hope is probably keeping rumours alive now isn't it?
I won't be putting a penny into the club until Evans sells. He loses millions per year. It's not going to get any easier to sell. He's either stupid or deluded if he thinks we can reach the Premier League under his ownership. Evens if offers are a few million short of his valuation he should take the loss. We were an investment gamble and he should own it.
I will spend the credit on my account from ST refund and I will not put another penny in until he's gone. That includes any 'glamour' cup ties, trips to Wembley and anything else people think they might catch me out with.

Couldn't agree more.

Exactly, so seems a bit weird to say we're better off with Evans because these guys couldn't get the deal done.
Same us the OP suggesting its a big loss really.
I'm not saying Evans is the answer, I just didn't have a good feeling about Brett and his cronies. We didn't have much of an idea what their strategy was or whether the funds were coming from.

It's purely because I know how many on here work. I'm all in until he goes.
He's not a bad man but he needs to go for the sake of all involved.
As much as i despise Evans boycotting town will hurt me more. Cant see it having an affect on Evans, he will simply be fine paying off the extra losses or happy to cut cost elsewhere, which he's being doing for years.

I'm 100% with you Mullers. The odds of us progressing on the pitch or off it are exceedingly slim with ME at the helm. We're all hoping for a fix with PC, and that'd be great and I hope he can work wonders. But nothing else has changed. The same problems that plagued every other manager still remain. And even if PC is successful, what happens if he's then inevitably poached by a bigger club? There also still won't be any care in the place and we'll continue to be run down.
There was obviously a risk in the consortium interested in us, but I'd kill to have a part of the the mood they generated around Phoenix Rising (or whatever they are called). They're buoyant, the fans are excited. There are big plans and visions to move the club on. We have none of that. We're happy if the north Stand roof gets a scrub.
Although PR were at the centre of a homophobic slur controversy weren't they, and we don't want that.

Maybe. If enough joined in it would surely have an impact though. If we made a real united statement that we want him gone.

I dont get that logic.
Its hard to see something as a lucky escape when the alternative is proven consistent failure.
If we had a semi good owner whod improved us year on year but not quite enough then yeah, why take the risk.
But we are basically choosing between guaranteed failure and a chance of success, but also maybe failure.
There's no logic to be got, that's why. Obviously worrying about what hasn't happened and what may not happen isn't logical. As you say, all we know is that what we have been doing doesn't work.

My avatar will not change until Marcus Evans is no longer the majority owner.
ITFC shall rise like a phoenix from the ashes of its long decline!

It's not that black and white.
I'd like to see a new owner, but one that has more substance.
It's ok to disagree.
I'm sure a Town supporting billionaire who made their money £0.50 at a time rescuing kittens from trees for old ladies and who wants nothing in return will be along shortly! Patience everyone.
