I'd think given the respective situations of each player, the valuations would be about £1m-ish, unless Blackburn or Norwich are still interested in Dozzell, which case we could get more like £2m. |
Given that we don’t know whether the new owners have agreed a substantial budget for new signings, it is reasonable to assume that they would have to be largely financed by sales. Pure speculation, but I would guess that we would want at least 2 million for both Dozzell and Downes. | | | |

Both had a good 2019-20 and a bad 2020-21. Difference is Bonne was playing in the Championship both years and Jackson in L1. |  |

Not especially sure Bonne quite cuts it for guaranteed goal return but on balance he'd probably be an upgrade on current CF options. I never really get the "had enough chances" thing. Footballers hit their peak from 25-27 onwards, there's loads of studies on this, statistics on when players find their way to the top level they play at and have the most success.
A player turning 22 you can make a judgement about what attributes they've got and haven't got and where that eventually might take them in the game, but I don't think you can say "these performances in this team" define them. [Post edited 15 May 2021 17:15]

Can hardly blame Dozzell or the club if the move is upwards - one of those things that happens. Of course, if we’ve been actively pushing him towards others and lowering the price on the process it’s a bit daft.
Not sure about Bonne but guess we have to accept we are where we are, no matter how much money we have. Would be a risky move, IMO, and it’d be nice to have a striker who is more reliable. | |

My biggest query is that I thought he was a 2 up top striker. Can't see much of him leading the line and being that focal point you need/want for a 4231.
Does that mean Cook is trying something new?

Just over a year ago he had 11 goals in 33 games in the championship for a side that created little and went down.
This year he’s been behind Lyndon Dykes and Charlie Austin who’ve been on fire and he’s been getting 15 mins here and there. 34 appearances and only 8 starts. I’d not be worried about his goals ratio.
He’s 25. Loads of time to get better. He’s a decent championship striker. Ipswich born. He would fit Cooks system. He would be a very shrewd signing especially if it’s a fee for Dozzell and Bonne on loan with a view to buy. | | | |

No, because that happened 3 years ago and he’s been largely been rubbish since, mostly in the division below the one we were in at the time |  |
