If you look at him in pre season photos he was clearly nowhere near the shape he is in now, or the shape he was in when he signed in July 2019 where he always looked lean |
That's not surprising though, he was injured pre-season and didn't start til end of November and he played week in week out in 2018/19. Norwood might be a lot of things to a lot of different people but given there were posts on here only yesterday calling him fat, this picture is very amusing. |  |

It's his stamina and general leg work he needs to concentrate on now. I think he said he has an op coming up on his leg ( meeting a previous expert or something?) That will be key. Get the legs right. Get that fitness spot on and you have your no. 1 striker. | |

He came back in bad shape after an extended break where he clearly didn't do the right things - he played in pre season, and was in squad in early games.
He's clearly worked hard since - but that isn't incompatible with him being in bad shape when he reported back |  |

Why is this all on Norwood though? No-one in this squad has looked very fit this season and PC has said as much. Look at Sears as a perfect example, he's been carrying weight all season and pretty much has been since he came back from his broken leg.
Here's hoping Norwood stays in that shape for the start of the season - it'll keep a few off his back temporarily until they find a hair style or tattoo of distaste to bemoan. | |
