i'm a little concerned about the desso pitch,

i appreciate we do need a new pitch and the foundations need sorting, irrigation etc

But BC play on Desso and train on grass and the majority of their injuries happened during home fixtures.

BTW, saw this, thought some on here may like it

Do you really have a breakdown of Bristol City's injuries by match location?

That's pretty obsessive about a club that isn't even Ipswich!

Don't pretty much all PL teams play and train on Desso?

Honestly, please don't bother.

It's hardly unusual to have a pitch like this, it's probably just a spurious correlation or all teams would see it.

Pretty much all of the top sides have hybrid pitches, I think all of last seasons Premier League sides do and a lot of Championship clubs too. There's been so much research into it and there's no scientific evidence that such pitches increase the likelihood of injury, so I don't see why we shouldn't go down that path. If it's good enough for City, Chelsea, Wembley, Twickenham etc with the value of the assets competing there, then I would imagine we can be pretty confident it's OK for us.

I love PR for the old skool vibe so hope they're able to retain all that while still doing it up a bit. Does feel very tired around the place at the minute.

I think the general consensus was that most teams who have desso train on desso to. I think that was discussed as you had a group blaming the medical dept and others looking into the desso effect, home games etc.

But moving away from that and your OP, it is nice to know there will be a targeted approach to PR and it's importance for the matchday experience fans have.

When we were in the Championship we were the only team in the top 2 leagues without one.

I’m not. If the top clubs use it, why shouldn’t we?

Had Evans been dealing with it, it would have been a case of take up the one from the old training pitch next to the Co-op stand bunged down 20 years ago and roll it out on the main pitch. Or after persuasion and waving away the moths from the wallet, all down to Poundland for a couple of rolls of that stuff people plonk down on their lawns instead of grass. Job done!

I'll just renew the subscription which I've been meaning to do for a while now.

The adverts are annoying, especially on the news page.

How can our injury list be any worse than it is with our current pitches? We constantly get long term injuries every season!

Could it be that, as we were the only team who hadn`t got the desso pitch, was the reason that we had so many injuries?
