Apparently for the new away kit lambert was given a blank sheet of paper with the badge and sponsor space on and asked to colour in a design he would like. He said his efforts represented his time at the club.

It's a smart kit although a bit bland. Black v-neck collar (like 1978 semi-final) and a bit more black trim would have improved it.

When it is put alongside the shorts and socks it looks pretty good.

Agreed. I do like shirts with collars.
