Saw someone mention he was at Portman Road, which wouldn't be a surprise as he is without a club and very close friends with Rekeem Harper.

I'd be very surprised if this was pulled off.
1) He's been on trial at Reading and Bournemouth this summer, impressed the former so much they offered him a deal but because of their embargo they couldn't get it over the line.
2) He's been heavily linked with Celtic this summer as well, puts them very far ahead of us.
3) As much as he can play in the middle, he is predominantly a wide forward out on the left wing, running at defenders with pace and being very comfortable cutting inside or outside of the full back.
He is a MUCH better player than both Aluko and Jacobs, but with one in and the other seemingly on his way, there wouldn't be any room for him. He wouldn't join a League One team to back up Lee Evans and Rekeem Harper in the midfield, and that is a partnership that shouldn't be broken up.
If that was last week, and Aluko wasn't here and Jacobs wasn't close, I'd be praying for Cook and Ashton to pull this deal off. But, with the circumstances we are now in, it is a deal that I can't see happen unfortunately. |  |

I teach at his old school, people said he was a decent enough kid, bit of an attitude, but to be fair, before Covid would come back in and hand awards out etc.
I used to work with a relative ... not sure how well he gets on with Rakeem, both grew up the other end of the Midlands from each other, but both have very Christian mothers who took them to church etc, both into their music and both seem to have not "kicked on" - had reports of boths attitude being "not right" , however Rakeem happy to move on whilst Kyle thought he would get at least a Championship club and loked like Celtic would offer him a contract [Post edited 9 Aug 2021 12:09]
