Chant from the game on 09:26 - Aug 15 by strikalite | They haven't got any songs to sing, so out comes singing about wanting an elderly woman to die,,,bantz! This is why you need the drum, to drown out the embarrassing songs like this.. |
what would be the nuts would be to have 3/4 people down the front like the Italians, leading the songs from a viewing point..... stewards just letting them get on with it..... but it would be soul destroying to be one of those three or four, and being faced with roy cropper look a likes, crossed arms and fingers pointing to move out their way.

Yeah , can we buy four Italian Ultras? Even if the songs are sung in Italian, at this point I don't care... Who are these young lads singing in The Plough mate, do you know them? How do you stop them?

People didn’t have to go Just think more effort should be made to sing songs supporting the team, obviously we can all start songs but need to be in a prominent position. Trouble is a lot of the youngsters these days don’t seem to known the words to a lot of our songs! Haven’t heard the over land and sea song sung for ages :(( |
Singing it about a town full of cracking pubs was particularly special.

Cracking pubs and a couple of lovely golf courses, the town itself is a sh*thole most are including Ipswich. Burton is particularly poor

Along with a chorus of “You only sing when your winning“ at 2-1 down. That must have bothered the home fans a lot too. [Post edited 15 Aug 2021 10:15]

Chant from the game on 07:46 - Aug 15 by ITFC_Forever | Delia songs. Speccy abuse Chequebook FC Paul Cook’s Barmy Army (everyone knows it should be blue and white army) Get in the bin. All was missing was a young lady to walk along the front of the stand and her to get the “get your t*ts out for the lads” treatment to round it all off. Pathetic. |
The singing on Tuesday night was embarrassing. Goading 131 Newport fans by telling they do things to sheep was a particular low. Not sure if it was Blue Action/Section 6 or what ever they go by, but I assumed they were classier than that. Also, two visiting keepers so far this season have been deemed to be fat bas#%*£s. Neither were fat and I think the abuse spurred on the Newport lad to have a good game. I appreciate some will call it banter, but targeting someone because they are overweight or wearing glasses is only just above abusing someone for the colour of their skin. I’ll get my tin hat

That wasn’t us, we didn’t attend that game. We stand at the front of big S6 behind our banner, and sing songs in support of the team, the players and about our history for the full 90 minutes of every game. Chant from the game on 07:53 - Aug 15 by textbackup | I've no idea. at 36 one of my favourite things to do is make up stupid football player chants.... voice record them, send to my nephew, and he probably mugs me off to his mates at school for it..... but, if one of them takes off, and player X hears it after moving to boring Ipswich and it makes him happy then my work here is done. "burns baby burns wesleys on fire, burns baby burns" and repeat..... jumping around, bouncing singing it..... all 4 of us vs morcambe |
I like "Burns baby Burns" - simple, positive, effective. Dominiciawful (I don't know how to do the thing where you share someone else's post) shared another which does the same the other day: "There is something in the air tonight, the boy shines bright, Armando He can beat you on the left or right, make you look shïte, Armando" More of this. Draw a player out of the hat and try something, eventually we'll have enough for a strong set list.
| "Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." | Poll: | Who will be the winner? |

Chant from the game on 11:10 - Aug 15 with 1089 views | JamestownPrince | I refrained from that chant when I realized whom it was aimed after (I wear glasses but if I get the "Mccarthy" taken out of me fine) - (await reporting for the " ") The bloke yesterday of 50 stone was giving it "large", I'm a bit heavy myself... I would only be worried about the song if the person obviously couldn't help their weight - but I'd be 99% positive that wasn't the case - if it gets into his head to lose weight and spend more time with his family then perversely - looked like the sort of bloke who likes football banter himself. If we can't have a laugh with the Welsh about sheep at a match, I give up, do we complain when people make tractor jokes about us? - I've been a town fan since the early 80's (I'm 48), but grew up in North Cumbria so watched Carlisle United for years - Carlisle fans would also be taunted with "Sheepshaggers", so we to away games we used to take blow up sheep.... There is a line somewhere, but the problem is in society that someone's idea of the line is the left hand kerb, and someone elses line it the right hand kerb.

Chant from the game on 09:12 - Aug 15 by Funge | What the fck does tinpot even mean. They're our rivals, we're gonna sing about them; that's how sporting rivalries work. The fact that they're above us (and still achieving nothing, by the way) doesn't alter this fact. Dont sing songs taking the piss out of our rivals. Don't sing songs about the referee. Don't sing songs about the opposition fans. Fck all of that. (But actually don't sing West Ham songs when we're playing Millwall) |
Tinpot should be reserved for any cup competition we fail to get past the first hurdle. Based in recent performances that is all cups except the FA youth cup, also not applicable to any cup competition thr Women’s team enter.

I think the problem isn’t you guys, far from it… you are doing a sterling job trying to improve the atmosphere around the ground and the town. The trouble is some of the you kids who are joining in (a fair play to them for doing so), who need a bit of guidance as to what to them is “epic bantz”, but to everyone else is a bit pathetic, and what is genuinely supporting the team - all the old classics, plus decent new material. They think they’re part of the casual culture, but actually still have a lot to learn.

To all North standers by Blue_Order 1 Aug 2021 20:51We won the league in ‘62
The greatest team that anyone knew
We are the Pride of Anglia
Ipswich are the Super Blues
ITFC ITFC
The only team in Anglia with history
We’ve won the cup, we’ve won the league
Times are hard right now but we’ll be back, you’ll see
They came from Rotterdam, St. Etienne
Aberdeen and Rome
Madrid and Barcelona
We’ve never lost at home
Never lost at home
Out in Amsterdam in 1981
We already led by three
John Wark and Frans Thijssen went and scored again
And the cup came home with ITFC
4 songs there that we’ve sung at games and tried to get to take off - all pretty original, all celebrate our history, and none mention norwich.
People then moan that they’re “European ultra shïte” because they’ve got a round of ‘woahs’ between verses, yet the whole stand will sing “we’re the tractor boys gonna make some noise ole ole”
Can’t win sometimes. Posted those four the other day. Morecambe game we actually tried not so sing any of the ones we made up and just stuck to the old ones, in the hope they’d spread more and we wouldn’t get “sing the classics instead of this shïte”. They didn’t spread past our few rows all game. Must have tried to get PC’s B&WA going 10 times in the second half just to get something going, but everyone around us was still looking at us like we were aliens. Tried to get the Bonne one I posted on Twitter going after he scored, but it was quickly and predictably drowned out by “he’s one of our own” Here’s a few other suggestions I made up. None are original, but better than nothing?
Chant from the game on 12:02 - Aug 15 with 1011 views | Skip_Intro | the most ridiculous chant I ever heard was against Norwich when a couple of dimlows near me started singing 'you can stick your f***ing broads up your a***'...I was lost for words...

The best chants are spontaneous as an example chants of Rooney to an overweight young ball boy at Luton.

We used to always chant sh*t to David Nugent and he absolutely loved it, riled him up and he always played his best against us. Fans have got to realise the negative chants spur on the opposition, and provoke the opposition fans to be louder. Really need to try positive chanting about our team and players. Tbh the only chant I hear consistently at matches from our fans is Annoyed Grunt when a player makes a mistake
