I know he turned down a loan last season and i dont really have a problem with that but i do think a loan to a league 2 club could well be the way forward for him . I think he is still just 20 so needs to play to improve . I did think he was a bit unlucky to lose his place after the Burton game as he won the free kick from which Pigot scored and also was fouled for the missed penalty . You have to like him as a player but i'm worried how much game time he will get ? Cup games perhaps but as PC has decided , wrongly in my opinion, that they dont really matter that much not sure they will help him .

that’s where he is now…

Yeah, I'm not sure loaning him to one of our relegation rivals would be entirely sensible.

I doubt Aluko has been brought in to be understudy to Dobra.

Then what's he been brought in for? He's past his best and all that would do is stunt our younger player's growth.

Dobra needs to take inspiration from Scott Twine.

Spent first half of 2020 out in the National League South. Spent the second half of 2020 out in League Two with Newport, and dominated.

Spent the first half of 2021 with Swindon, continued to dominate. Spending the second half of 2021 with MK, and he’s getting better each game. L2 is the making of each young player. Look at Exeter’s excellent academy graduates, and they don’t venture out of L2 as a club.

He needs to go to a League 1 club, if he does go out - which on balance is probably best thing for him this season

But I doubt he would be an automatic pick in L1 which is what he needs to develop.

He is better than most of our current players. Anyhow he not been in the side regularly? Need both him and Edwards on the pitch with somebody in the midfield who can tackle and win the ball back.

Why would we consider loaning a player who is better than what we have already?

He should play three quarters of games for at least 8 clubs in this division. If we could send him to a mid table league one club it would be best for him IMO.

Truly impaired.

He'd walk in to lots of sides at this level.

His best is/was well above where are now, so it's entirely plausible that he plays a role in a promotion push, whether he's past his best or not.

The likes of Chaplin, Burns and Fraser are all blocking Dobra right now. If they get us promoted no one is going to be upset about Dobra.

Let's be honest, not really looking good so far on that front.

League 2 a waste of time for me, if he goes there and does well, and the season is as we hope, then it does nothing with regards to a Chanpionship club

Colchester are being linked that would , IMO , be ideal for him pretty local and many players he knows should help the young man settle in .

Sometimes simply playing games isn't what develops players. He looks to have come on leaps and bounds over the summer and I'd have him around our first team working with our coaches and alongside the better calibre of players we have that he can learn from. He's got something to offer us.

Sorry, I disagree. The lad needs proper competitive football. Practice five asides and running around the cones isn’t going to add anything. As for the impact of coaches, all the coaching in the world cannot replicate what you learn actually playing.

I would send him on loan until the new year transfer window. If our season is over at Christmas and let’s face it, that’s a possibility now, bring him back and put him in the first team for the rest of the season.

Not ideal. Needs to stay well away from that lot.

Chaplin's played one game and provided an assist. Fraser has a goal and assist.

It looks fine to me. It's just that we're 4 games in, some of which Dobra has played in.
