Cook got it badly wrong today 16:59 - Oct 30 with 1797 views | acj | Plymouth were there for the taking. Totally different game since Celina came on for Coulson, think we’d have had 3 points today if he’d gone with Celina-Chaplin-Edwards from the start.

Cook got it badly wrong today on 17:02 - Oct 30 with 1639 views | N2_Blue | Indeed. Despite his record elsewhere in terms of his Ipswich career you'd say he's not a very good coach. Often sets up wrong, fails to close out games and has no ability to change a game around 2nd half. He's very poor at the moment. I wanted him here but regret it now.

We looked so much better when Celina came on with Edwards on the right. No idea what the thought was with Coulson, he looked completely lost.

Cook got it badly wrong today on 17:03 - Oct 30 with 1591 views | Coastalblue | Better Hope Reid starts to wield some influence because for all Cook's positives he only seems to know one way of playing, or at least will only attempt one way.

Cook got it badly wrong today on 17:06 - Oct 30 with 1494 views | TheBoyBlue | Hopefully that'll be how we start on Tuesday. And with KVY at LB (RB I mean!). I think the right hand side was what mainly let us down, but it would be harsh to blame Coulsen and Woolfenden as neither are really meant to play on that side and I guess it was forced upon us a little. I dont understand why we just didn't go with edwards right, chaplin/penny left, Piggot in middle behind bonne if chaplin went left. Coulson on right, just unbalanced that whole side. We didn't really have another option for rw but edwards at least would have still done more than coulson in that position

Hmmm....thought KVY is a right back. Why would you do a Cook and play him out of position?

I can only imagine the thinking was that Celina doesn't have 90 minutes in him. Would have thought that starting with him and changing once he needed to may have been wiser. However, if that had led to Celina getting injured it would not have been great. Don't forget we also took the lead. Seems strange not to take KVY due to his versatility unless he is also unavailable for some reason. He would have been a better option than Coulson as RAM.

Cook got it badly wrong today on 17:20 - Oct 30 with 1257 views | JDB23 | Yeah, some sympathy with him losing Burns and Donacien so late but that’s not an excuse to completely surrender our right side. Dreadful selection from a vastly experienced manager. Massive game only to have the wind completely sucked out of you just from seeing the team sheet, awful feeling and the game went as expected after that.

If that was the case, I'd have moved Chaplin into either of the sides and put Piggott on. Or subbed Celina after 60 minutes. I just cannot think that Coulson was the best option we had.

Tactics and selection are different things I think. Today is a god example of how important Burns Janoi and Aluko in particular are.

Hard to see what criteria you'd have to be applying whereby Coulson (not played since 18 September) was a better bet physically than Celina, who was deemed fit enough to start 4 games in a row as recently as early this month. We also had Harper as an option in the 10.

Especially with Coulson only just coming back from injury. It is akin to playing Penney as a left midfielder!

You say that. But today was a prime day to do it. Penney on the attack got us the corner for our goal. If ever there was a game to go penney lw coulson lb it was today and think we'd have won the game.

Coulson is much better than Penney going forwards. Anyone who thinks Penney should be playing as a LAM ahead of Edwards, Celina, Chaplin or even Coulson really needs to give their head a wobble...

Totally agree with this. The Penney haters are out in force but look at where our goals stem from. We miss plenty of chances and Penney makes a mistake fir their goal and he’s slated over social media. Many others weren’t at their best today either but isn’t it a Team game Plymouth aren’t too if the table because they’re crap
Cook got it badly wrong today on 17:47 - Oct 30 with 928 views | ITFCBlues | Would Celina have had that impact from the off whilst we were doing lots of defending? Such a simplistic view to assume that. He came on against tiring legs whilst we were pushing for an equaliser, of course he would have loads of the ball etc.

Coulson has a lovely ability to cross from deep. Not so much penney. Hence my preference for them to be the other way. Chaplin you can't move from the 10 Yes I'd prefer a penneh over ineffective Edwards. Celina... Best performance he's had when he came on.. so maybe getting fitter..?
