But what was Norwood hunting at? Dressing room unrest? Overbearing interference from Ashton/the owners? Players still not settling in? Anyone got the scoop?

So, what was going on in the background on 18:04 - Dec 5 by homer_123 | Really? I mean...we'll find out soon enough. If Norwood and Kenlock come back into the fold then we know that isn't the case. Jackson appeared from nowhere recently...so not sure your assumption is accurate. |
Kenlock cannot come back as he is not on the 25 declared to the league

See Coulson saying he was fine to carry on as proof that players aren’t the best at self diagnosing

which worked out really well for coulson, walters etc etc etc

Disagree. I have played on with a fractured hand, torn ankle ligaments and a dislocated toe that i popped back in myself. All because i really wanted to play. Predictably, i was crap all three times. I'm nowhere near professional level but i think the theory still applies.

Quite. The medical team aren't so interested in pride, whereas a player is more likely to declare himself fit. More so if he feels there's pressure to say so and doesn't want to let anyone down.

Don't think paying the wages of a convicted drink driver with the pension fund of emergency workers is a good look

Yeah, only Ipswich could suffer horrendous luck with injuries for years and then have fans saying it’s a problem when we assemble a trained professional team to improve that area. Mind boggling. Listen to any professional footballer past or present and they’ll tell you they’ve played through injuries they shouldn’t have, or lied about the severity etc. [Post edited 5 Dec 2021 20:58]

So, what was going on in the background on 19:32 - Dec 5 by BlueBadger | As very general rule, people who think they know better than people paid to know about these things don't tend to do particularly well. Sometimes, things 'feeling' better aren't the same as actually BEING better. [Post edited 6 Dec 2021 11:03]

I accept that as a general rule, though in my experience there are few people who know their bodies better than experienced professional athletes. Whether Norwood is an athlete or professional, is another question.

Traffic light system It has its perks but also negatives. For example Pigott coming off before chelts scored from long throws.. Pigott chest vest flagged that he needed to come off..

Seems to be working. We've had several players out each season with serious injuries, but none this season.

Yep, I guess issue for Cook is it isn't the job he signed up for - the next man coming in will be coming in with his eyes open as to what the structure is
