Even if we sign Harris... 17:57 - Dec 9 with 4236 views | wkj | Or someone else we don't particularly want. They become a blue, so let's support them with all our energy - you never know, we could become the jewel in their CV. COYB - Let's get our season going.

Even if we sign Harris... on 18:40 - Dec 9 by Keaneish | I guess the question is, where’s the logic in Harris? He’s not achieved anything in management. He doesn’t play a brand of football to ‘pack out PR’ and there’s nothing of note to point to in any shape to get excited about or understand reason given his last few appointments have been failures. If all the links, it’s one of the ones I least understand and would make me even more nervous that Gamechanger are too erratic. |
He’s had two L1 play off campaigns, one which ended in a promotion. He’s had a Championship play-off campaign, reached the quarter finals of the FA Cup, and stabilised Millwall as a Championship club. That’s in 6 years as a full time manager. I haven’t watched Millwall or Cardiff enough to know his style of play. Let’s not pretend he hasn’t achieved anything.

Even if we sign Harris... on 18:45 - Dec 9 by bluefunk | He was appointed manger and delivered the League play offs in his first season, lost in the final, did the same the next season and won promotion, then established Millwall in the Championship - not a bad record, |
If he comes, that's what he'd be here for, and once we're stable in the Championship, after a year or two, he'll be replaced by the manager who'd be tasked with getting us to the PL....

We would never get to the championship with the likes of Harris. He is no better than the last few failures

Is that enough to inspire and lift these lot right now? Doesn’t feel like it to me and he’d have a very uphill task to win a lot of people over. Maybe that’s what we need though.

I think whoever we appoint has a golden opportunity to revitalise a quality (if loaded) squad - I don’t care who it is but if I were a Manager with Harris’s record, I’d believe I could do that

I’m responding to the implication he’s done nothing in his managerial career, not making a case for him. I’m a little tired of people making up their mind and then inventing the facts to fit their view

He's an OK manager. But we've appointed on track record before, we need to be looker deeper at philosophy and style of play etc. Keane, Jewell, Hurst, Lambert, Cook, Mick all had promotions on their CV. Whereas Burley didn't. [Post edited 9 Dec 2021 19:28]

Having watched our recent games I still can't understand why people believe we have such a good squad. I watched MK Dons v Plymouth last night, the gap between both of them and us looks frightening. Players too good for league 1 perhaps one player and that is not our captain.

Even if we sign Harris... on 19:40 - Dec 9 by itfcsuth | What does this even mean? I’m what respect does Neil Harris not have the standards on and off the pitch to be our manager? His resume is good for the 6 years he’s been a manager? You are just talking nonsense here I’m afraid in my opinion. |
Have you not watched the last 20 years of crap? I just expect better

Now that’s a very good point. The fact of the matter is that whether they sign up Pep, Harris, Mowbray or Tintin, the person deserves our support.

What gives us the right to expect a manager with a CV better than that? Not in touch with reality, as to where the club is right now. [Post edited 10 Dec 2021 11:21]

Yeah, I am expecting more disappointments if we employ the like of Harris. I am just praying this is just media nonsense and the club are now a little more ambitious!!!

It would be a catastrophic appointment. His style of play completely jars with our playing squad. We have minimal physicality which is what Harris' teams have relied on. You can't deny he did well for Millwall and seems a nice enough bloke but he's a big red flag for me purely on ethos alone.
