R5L commentator is a Blue 13:08 - Jan 2 with 2792 viewsunstableblue

Apologies if already discussed on here, but the R5L commentator (who is excellent by the way) covering the Watford games yesterday is a Town fan.

And was honoured to be joined by Terry Butcher as his pundit yesterday, having watched him through the 80s at PR.

Do we know the name? He is a quality radio commentator.

Butcher was also good yesterday. I thought he was poor on the ITV4 coverage of the Barrow away loss. But he gave good insights into the game yesterday.

I wasn't listening, but Alastair Bruce-Ball is a blue so might have been him?

Alistair Bruce-Ball, he’s v good. Has done 606 with Chris Sutton and talked a lot about being a town fan.

So,of course, was John Motson who went to Culford school.

Bit silly of him to admit it given how massive we’re about to be again. He’s just talked himself out of commentating on the 2027, 2028 and 2029 Champions League finals.

Taking of good journos, here’s one going in two-footed on Norwich fans and indeed NCFC itself.

I went to a football camp when I was a kid. Motson was a guest one day, answering questions from the boys, that sort of thing. He was asked which team he supported. He was a bit cagey, said he liked a lot of clubs for various reasons, but if pushed to select one, then it would be Tottenham.

I thought I had heard he was a Town and then Googled him the other day and it said he was a Tottenham fan. Sounds a little like there are a few teams he enjoys watching and wants to do well and we are one of them as much as an out-and-out fan as such.

No it’s a myth perpetrated by the fact he was local for years. He’s Spurs/Barnet. Another fictional Town fan was Patrick Stewart who supports Huddersfield or a better known one, Scott Loach who is from Nottingham and supports Manure but got lumped as a Ipswich supporter because of a video of him in the youth team. Absolutely crud keeper when here too.

Scott Loach was always a Town fan, think he wore a Man U top in the video of him as a kid.

Childhood Memories Flood Back for New Boy Loach 19th Jul 2012 21:54
Returning to Portman Road brought childhood memories flooding back for new Blues keeper Scott Loach, who completed his £150,000 switch from Watford earlier today. The 24-year-old, who has signed a three-year deal with the option of a further season, was with the Town academy between 1997 and 2000 before his father’s work took them back to Nottingham. 21

This is so well written.

Insular is the most suitable adjective I would take from that.
