Presumably he’s already off the transfer list. He’s earnt his place in the team week after week and even the doubters will surely agree he shouldn’t be going anywhere?

My line was we should look for better as I believe better exist for this level.

That was based on him being injured a lot and pretty indifferent in a loan striker formation.

Well, some of those parameters have shifted, and he looks to be taking his job seriously - which is all you can ask for.

I did agree with others that he'd never play again, and had Cook stayed and stuck with a lone striker - that statement would likely have been correct.

I just thought he was an unprofessional, immature prat tbh.

Not sure much has changed.

Off field? A lot remains to be seen, aye.

Also the unnecessary handbags and giving it out to refs on it, but yes, mainly his general off-field conduct.

It may play well to the Twitter banter boys, but doesn't sit right with dear old footers.

The other thing is - he could be playing his socks off as he's asked to leave. Still a chance he might be off this window if that's the case

Forgot to respond to you before, you asked me why I didn't really want him playing for the club.

Basically as Glassers mentioned, 2 DD convictions (one of which he did whilst he was here) and the black face also rubs me the wrong way. He's old enough to know better and well off enough to afford taxis.

On the pitch he's a good League One player. He'll score us goals.

That said it's not like I'm raging about it, just would rather he didn't play for us.

Fair enough. I can't see him being dropped anytime soon. He'll be your favourite player when he scores the goal that sends us up!

I dint mind that people were appalled by his off field antics, such as the 2 DD’s, the black face and the poorly aimed social media posts. But they then went down the road that he was a pub player and not good enough to play in our team. Which is obvious nonsense.

Yes, they are very quiet now.

Yeah, there was never any questions about his ability and being a handful at this level. The biggest problem was Cook’s inability to manage him. I can understand why people might not want him to play for us, but as long as he’s a registered player and we’re paying his wages it was madness not to.

Yes he is .

I actually think the point is Norwood is far better technical player than he's given credit for.

He makes intelligent flicks and off loads. He can hit a long pass. And his positional running is the best at the club by far. So is his traditional centre-forward play in the way he draws fouls for example. He is TECHNICALLY very good in the areas he needs be.

For instance - his touch inside to Morsy on Bonne's goal changed the direction of the move, ultimately helping open up the pitch to spread the play and keep the ball moving.

Sadly his personal life has had a huge impact. But there is no denying, at this level, he is a very decent striker. Scores goals.

He is a technical player isn't he?

We've seen he doesn't do very well and when you lump it to him, but you can see he's no mug with it at his feet. I see him as a bit of a Will Keane really, not many rated him when he was here but he always had something and has proved it this season.

Players like that need to have a team around them that understand what sort of service they want.

I’ve only seen Pigott play a full game and that was against Col U and tbf I wasn’t overly impressed..

I remember when we signed Pigott i stated on here I wasn't very excited by his signing. People said it was an excellent coup and he'd obviously had a very excellent season with Wimbledon so I tried to get on board with the excitement. However what I'd previously seen of him i just wasn't desperately impressed.

He's obviously desperately short of confidence and not had much chance but I'm getting the feeling he could end up being a bit of a 'Sam Parkin' for us unfortunately.

I may be being very unfair but that's just the feeling i have.

Must say I agree with you

I thought he was a good signing. But he looks like bambi in ice at the moment

Lack of games... possibly. But hes not helping his cause. He just doesnt look comfortable on the pitch.
