Who is your money on?

I reckon Novak gets in.

(That is not an endorsement of his vaccination status, conduct or views)

Poll: This new lockdown poll - what you reckon?

He’s about to do a press conference with his family.

Hawke has said no decision on the visa will be made tonight, so if I was Djokovic’s lawywers, i’d be telling him to shut up

Would be the wisest thing to do, but he has an audience back home to play to.

Mentioned earlier in the thread a friend denied entry into US. He could have appealed but if he lost he would be deported with a three year ban on re-entry. He took the wise approach and took the next flight home, but then he doesn’t have an ego.

2023 year of destiny
Poll: Dickhead "Noun" a stupid, irritating, or ridiculous man.

Yeah, I do wonder if he’ll say he voluntarily will leave ‘for the greater good’.

That this appears to have become confrontational on nationalistic lines, rather than on the issues of honesty, legality or medical propriety, makes me feel a little bit ashamed to be a human being.

I'll caveat that by saying that I'm not following this particular idiotic circus with any great concentration, so I could be talking out of my arse.

Not sure what good can come from a press conference. It's a matter of legal fact what has happened.

If he moans about how he's been treated it will annoy the already fractured and livid Australians.

If he says he's leaving he's created an diplomatic crisis for no real reason unless he wanted to make Australia look stupid.

No sympathy for the Australian Government though. They've tried to stage a humiliation for political gain and massively got it wrong. Pretty BoJo-esque in my view.

Notwithstanding, Novak should have just the vaccine ages ago to avoid being the entire circus.

This is also tied in to Rio Tinto wanting to mine in Serbia and the protests against it by Serbian Nationals. I read somewhere that Novak supported keeping the mining giant out of his country. They would see this as being linked to his treatment.

It does feel very Johnson like - Morrison tried to make a political point for votes and made a shambles of it. Now the immigration minister needs to decide whether to ignore a court ruling; that sounds familiar too.

He didn’t waste any time getting back on the courts.

This is likely to blow up tomorrow morning again

His brother is giving a press conference in Serbia (I assume) now

One of the replies to that Farage tweet piqued my interest:

Anyone know much about this or where I could go to find out more? Wouldn’t even know where to start on Google but I’d be interested to know if this was true and what his motives were

Be interesting to see what happens when the US Open comes up as well as the French. His excuse of recently having Covid won’t be valid when those tournaments come up.
