Johnson is just lashing out aimlessly now on 21:17 - Jan 31 by Darth_Koont
Haha! Thanks for getting it.
There’s been over two years of non-evidenced right-wing attacks on Starmer for Savile, Rotherham and anything else that crawls into their brains. So far it’s restricted to fringe right-wing media and Twitter rather than the “respectable” media coming out with this nonsense. But let’s wait and see.
If they focused on him as untrustworthy, devoid of policies and ultimately bad for the UK then I’ll be there. But of course they won’t – this media just wants the best version of empty politics for themselves.
That’s why they’ve turned on Boris because of drinks parties and the public’s understandably strong reaction, which threatens unrest. And not the real stuff that’s been affecting the public for decades, because (shhhh) it’s not in the media’s own interests.
Imagine if the media spent as much time talking about child poverty, low productivity, climate change and any number of real-life challenges now and in the future. And with anything like the same outrage and self-righteousness over a birthday cake or Boris’s 17,045th lie that apparently broke the camel’s back ...
Of course, you know all this. That’s why you got it.
Not exclusive to the right koonters. Your friends at Skwarkbox have been keen to spread these smears since he booted the absolute boy out of the PLP.
It’s a smear that the far left have been running with for some time.
So you can understand why so many thought you were being serious. It’s like the boy who cried wolf in reverse.
Just found out that Ian Blackford, the SNP Leader, was ejected from the chamber because he said Johnson had misled Parliament. Blackford goes for telling the truth. Johnson stays for lying.
Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?
Absolute car crash on Newsnight from Scully. That was awful, he's made things worse if anything.
We are supposed to forgive Boris because he had covid and thus knew how important the rules are and also got married and other things. Apparently Newsnight shouldn't be spending the show on this and should be concentrating on other government business.
Was utterly hopeless.
Out of touch doesn't even begin to describe these people.

I mean Dorries and Patel blindly support Boris because they are talentless egotistical nutters
But Scully just threw himself under a bus for Boris… and how can he really have any integrity, because he is defending the indefensible with frankly weird logic and rhetoric… surely the man has to regret that deeply

Closer to home, Dan Poulter is dancing to the tune. Utterly delusional.

Lewis Goodhall's analysis was excellent and, I believe, condemning.
Sue Gray has nailed him and it's just too subtle for anyone apart from Lewis to have noticed.
Beaconsfield tories gave no support.
It's just a question now of how badly the parliamentary party want to balance self-interest -v- damage to the party.
Putting aside the sheer distgustingness of their contempt for ordinary Brits, it's most amusing, I must say.

I just missed it and have searching for a clip, but can't see one anywhere. For some reason the iplayer doesn't offer Newsnight to catch up on.
Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

Not exclusive to the right, no.
But even here Skwawkbox is talking about Twitter trends and Socialist Voice is highlighting the rabidly right-wing Politicalite. And I don’t agree with them airing it on these occasions.
This nonsense is generally speaking absent form left criticism of Starmer, whereas it’s constant from the right. Surprisingly, the right don’t share the left’s grievance against Starmer that he lied to the membership to get elected (Starmer is not committed to progressive policies nor party unity).

Scully was on a hiding to nothing. Dorries just continues to confirm what most people think of her capability. The LG analysis was forensic and withering.
